Dining for Oct and Nov considering Park hours and crowds

This will be my first time going to Disney in an off-peak season, and with free dining. We are going Oct 28 thru Nov 2nd. I just now realized that many of the parks are open only until 7pm at the latest while we will be visiting. I really don't want to bother with a Dining reservation at say 6 o'clock and miss out on an evening of park time. I also don't want to eat real early and then be hungry either by 10pm.

Do we know what EMH will be like in Oct and Nov, and also, what times will restaraunts be serving until?

What are some of your gameplans and strategies when it comes to booking ADRs?

Ps. We will only be on the Standard Dining Plan, so we will be eating light breakfasts, say a muffin or something, then a quick serve probably around 12pm or 1pm.

Any comments and insight is greatly apprecaited...

GO TO Deb's Unofficial WDW site there are park hours extra magic hours so you can coordinate your dining and go under dining most restaraunts post there hours. Epcot is open til 9pm every night for Illuminations so you have many dining options but you should have booked your dining reservations already unless this a last minute vacation. Your dining choices may be slim now, with free dining going on. We are there from Oct31st -Nov 14th and I booked my dining ressies in Aug.(90days out) Have a great vacation.

I am in the same position...we just scheduled our trip and are now trying to get ressies. I am going 11/2 to 11/7...I did go to the allears.net page and looked up the magic hours and theme park hours like the other poster suggested...

We are going to hollywood studios and I made an adr for Mama melrose's. I could only get 5:30 ..and the park closes at 7pm..I just figure we should be able to get through most of the park by 5 ish.....the extra hours don't coordinate when I am going unfortunately.

Animal Kingdom is only open until 5pm when we are going..so I think I probably will just make a ressie at one of the resorts for after that time...just eat a qs in the park..

Magic Kingdom won't be a problem for us since it is open until 9pm and then my days coordinate with the magic hours after closing..which I think is something like 3 hours? This is the park we want to make sure we get our full time into...Then we have an extra day where we can kind of choose which ones to go back too..anything that we missed.

Also, even if a park closes at say 7, they usually ADRs right up until 6:50 so you might be able to snag the last ADR slot and not lose any park time at all hardly! It would also help you avoid the masses leaving the park at 7!
