I convinced my mom to let her take her WDW for her 60th by explaining there are lots of "grown up" things we can do. She is a very fun personality, but not a fan of screaming kids-- at least when they are her own grandchildren. So we're going just the two of us, with a regular dining plan. And there are two fun, character meals I can't decide if I should keep. I think she will enjoy them fine, but maybe I should change to a more adult restaurant. My current ADRS:

Arrival Day: Lunch at Sanaa, (La Nouba for evening or I would have done Blue Zoo or Flying Fish)
MK Day: Currently 1900 Park Fare dinner b/c I love step-sister, thinking about switching to Plaza for a nice "Main Street" experience
AK Day: Tusker House breakfast before park opening, chosen based on good reviews. I like being in the park early, not sure if it being a character breakfast is a good thing or not, but i think my mom would enjoy meeting a couple characters especially if she doesn't have to wait (she's never met a character before). Dinner at California Grill.
Epcot day: Via Napoli dinner (lunch will be CS in France most likely)
DHS day: breakfast at Boma before and counter service lunch

After talking to a co-worker, she really questioned 1900 Park Fare and Tusker House, though my co-worker has never been to either. The only one of my ADRs that I have been to before is Sanaa. What do you think, should I swap those?

My husband and I are going in December, just the two of us and 1900 is on our must do list. The strawberry soup is to die for. I probably wouldn't change that one. I can't comment on Tusker House as we haven't been there yet.

As an adult, I enjoy character meals much more when they are face characters and can speak and interact in conversation, rather than the furs. Both are fun, but if you are thinking of dropping one, I would keep 1900 Park Fare and drop Tusker.

we love 1900 park fare!!! we had 18 of us that went last year and I think the adults enjoyed it more than the kids! the food was great too!!

To be fair, both 1900 PF and TH will have kids and likely some noisy ones. That being the case, it's rather difficult to do Disney without kids, and if she can live with a short time with the hubbub surrounding a character meal, then I'd opt for 1900 PF. The character interaction is superb and the buffet above average. Have fun!

We are big fans of the Ohana Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch (you also get Minnie and Mickey in a Aloha shirt) The food was awesome and we love the atmosphere of the restaurant (think Trader Vics)

They look good to me but I'd look at Crystal Palace over 1900 park fare for your MK day (nothing wrong with 1900 park fare and it might be preferable if you want to check out the GF).

I'd also, since it's her first time, look at CRT for breakfast, even if you have to splurge (no worse than any other character buffet for kids ;) )

I would drop 1900 Park Fare. My mom would like the step-sisters, but it is crowded and loud with a lot of kids. It can be a fun experience, but I would not call it a relaxing experience. There are better food options at the MK resorts. You are giving up food quality to see the step-sisters. Will it be worth it for your mom?
