We're going to WDW SSR, June 24- July 1. What is a good restaurant for her 8th birthday . I know I have to reserve this real soon. I'm thinking MK on 6/25 , Early entry 0800, and leave around 4:00 P.M., refresh at the room and back out for a special birthday dinner. No more commando park days for me.

It depends on her likes and dislikes. Would she enjoy a character dinner, if so and she's a girly girl, then dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table or Cinderalla's Happily Ever After Dinner at the Grand Floridian. If not so girly there's Chef Mickey's or the Crystal Palace. Would she prefer something like the Decor at the new T-Rex Restaurant. If you make the ADR's early, tell them it's her birthday and you can order cake etc. and they will make her feel special.

Look on the allears.net site for the character dining and other restaurants to get an idea of food and which characters will appear!

Good luck to you!

What about Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Fare? Go to the restaurant board here on the Dis and check out the Cake Chatter Thread. Its great...order her a pretty cake and have them bring it out after dinner!!! :thumbsup2

We went to Chef Mickey's for DS's 9th birthday and it was great. You can order a cake in advance and Mickey comes over to the table when it's time to sing "Happy Birthday." Also, if you let them know at check in, they will send balloons & a card from her favorite character on her birthday. Have fun!

What about Cinderella's Dinner in the Castle. My kids absolutely loved this........just being in the castle was great for them but add Cinderella, Fairy God Mother, and a few other characters it great.

Another choice would be the Whispering Canyon at WL. We were there in Feb and both kids ( 6 and 9 ) loved running around and doing the hokey pokey. Be sure to ask for ketchup.

Hoop De Doo!! and they will sing Happy bday for all the bday folks that day. tons of fun for the family..show, singing, clapping what more could you want

If she likes princesses, Akershus in Norway is great for that. There is a photo package included and its 1TS on the dining plan (CRT is 2).

There is no guarantee that Disney will do anything "special" for birthdays. Disney magic is random, so like PP's have said, you can always order a cake if you want to be sure. :)

Dd9 celebrated her 8th birthday at 1900 Park Fare. It was wonderful. She got a birthday pin when we checked in, and all the characters made a big deal over her. One of the step-sisters even brought her out in the middle of the restaurant and made her and her stuffed animal a part of the show. She also got a birthday placemat and cupcake.

asked my 9 year old daughter and her votes were in order CRT castle dinner, Chef MIckeys, crystal palace, or 1900 parke fare cinderela gala feast. GL

I also asked my 7 year old daughter and her choices in order are. Crt castle dinner, Akershus NOrway( Ariel is her favorite), and Chef Mickeys gl
