Any suggestions for just the two of us?

I'm planning on eating at off times if possible (I can't imagine taking him through long QS lines with me, and if it's empty, I trust him to sit at a table alone as long as I can see him).

We're doing The Garden Grill character dinner so we don't have to worry about buffet (plus, it's my favorite).

For other character dining (we're doing Hollywood and Vine for the 1st time) can I request a table close to the buffet so I can keep my eye on him. Is it something I can request at the time or should I somehow add it to my ADR?

Any must NOT miss foods for the preshooler crowd?

We've been several times before, but this is the first with just the two of us so I'm a little nervous.

Just got back with my 4 year old...although hubby was with us...but he hates the pool.

What we did a lot was get our food to eat by the pool or after we swam we would go to the resort food court and get it to go (they have covers) and bring it back to our room.

We were on quick service plan so not too many TS but we did do Rainforest cafe and DS liked that and we didnt do but I think our son would have loved Sci-Fi.

What fun! I like the mommy and me trips we still do. When my kids were toddlers, I just took them in line with me at the buffets, and made their plates along with mine. I took toys and wipes to use at the table and sometimes in line too. I never trusted them to sit somewhere while I waited somewhere else. In line, I would point to things and play word games when there was a wait. I also have had the kindness of strangers/CMs helping me with carrying food too.

For quick service lines, I would think there would be a smaller line if you ate early or late. Around 11am or after 2pm and 4:30-5ish. For the buffets, just go up together. There won't be anyone taking your table, and you can take your valuables with you if you are concerned.

Playhouse Disney in the Studios should be fun. Check the guides, on EMH nights, they have a dance party with the characters.
