Hi,
I am thinking about buying the dining experience card. There is the automatic 18 % added on the bill. On the Disney info site it states that the card is good at the food courts. Is there the 18% add-on at the food courts?

I have no problem with table servers getting 18%, but I will not give the checkouts at the Food Courts a gratuity.:confused3

Thank you for your replies.:)

Thought the same thing, but they DO NOT add the 18% at the counter service/food courts that the card is accepted at. This is a good place to buy the mickey ears as well! You receive the discount.

remember that the food courts that it is accepted at are the resorts that do not have sit down restaurants . Like the All Star Resorts, Pop Century, Port Orleans French Quarter. Pizzafari is still allowed at AK and most of the TS restaurants. It is a good deal ...

do you mean the ice -cream bars?

If they sell them, I'm not sure, yes. We used the card for all our purchases at the food court. I was talking about the rice krispy Mickey ears. We took a few home for our kids that didn't come. Instead of buying them elsewhere, we received the 20% off at the food court. They have great ice cream there as well and we had that, too, at the food court instead of Main St. to get the 20% off. It was a nice treat after the bus ride back to the resort.

Some snacks are not included in the 20 percent off if they are considered "novelty." I bought a bunch of the ore-packaged Minnie's Bakeshop cookies back in May at Pop and they did not fall into the discount because of that classification. But discount or no discount, I can't pass those suckers up!

My DS loves rice crispy squares. He'll love the Mickey ones for a snack. Nice to know ways of saving for snacks and food!
