Hello everyone. I'm sorry if this is a basic question but it's my first trip back to Universal in 20 years. Staying at Disney but catching a cab to Universal for HHN. I Plan on grabbing dinner (and hopefully a drink) before the event begins. I read about an area called "Citywalk". Is this in walking distance to where the HHN events are located? If so, anybody have recommendations? I would like to make reservations if needed a asap. Thanks!!!!!!

CityWalk is a separate area from the Studios where HHN takes place but everything at Universal is within walking distance to everything else. We have a food sticky that has recommendations for dining at CityWalk so you should read through it.

What time are you hoping to arrive for dinner and what time are you trying to enter the event? Also...which day are you going? Unless you have EPs for that night and are going just one night, you'd better plan on eating either inside the park once the event starts or somewhere afterwards. If you don't arrive for HHN until say 8pm, the lines will already be at least 60 minutes long for every house...some much longer.

if you are going on a weekend, get a park ticket and be in the studios before 5:00.

you can eat inside the park like Metro stated.

if you don't have a park ticket, you will have to stand in line at the outside gate and wait there until the official opening at 6:30 pm.

there have been some days in the past year where i have seen peeps start to line up before 5:00, and wait there until they can get into the park to start HHN.

on weekends, that outside wait line is long.

check out www.citywalk.com and click on orlando.

you will see all the restaurants and can get their menu at this site.

depends on the type of food you like best on which place is the best.

i like NBA City, HRC, Nascar for most of their offerings.

you will walk thru City Walk before you reach the park.

Thanks for the responses. I will be there Wednesday October 29th and have already purchased HHN Express Plus. Any idea what time I should be in line based in that? I was hoping to have dinner around 4:30 then head over afterwards.

that wednesday the park closes at midnight and the ep are the cheapest for the month.
When UO feels a park will be very crowded, the ep, HHN tickets will be high.
the ep for fridays when i go are at $89.99, saturdays are higher.
HHN tixs are higher than also than they are for weekdays.

makes me think that you won't be seeing large crowds and 2 hour waits for houses.

go ahead and eat at 4:30 at City Walk and then head to the gate and wait in line.
i can't imagine the line to be horrendous as it is a work day the next day and UO is not anticipating huge crowds for HHN.

you might get lucky and not see a long wait line to get into the park.

with having the ep, you should be able to see all the houses and scare zones and still hit bill and ted's that night.

have fun!
