Hi Everyone

I am dining at the Dolphin's Fresh Mediterranean for breakfast, and considering also a breakfast at the Swan's Garden Grove.

Do these establishments offer any discounts with any of the following:

AAA
AARP
Disney Annual Pass (debating about getting one this year)
DVC Member
Tables In Wonderlands
or Others ?

Thanks, Phil

Yup, once you get the annual pass, you have the option to purchase a TiW card, which would give you 20% off the bill.

Wow !

I actually already have a TIW card which is still good for my next trip, I just won't have an annual pass for my next trip. I am staying at the BCV, and I have walked over to the nearby Swan and Dolphin in the past, or taken the boat over too.

I really will consider going to the Garden Grove now for breakfast.
I haven't been there, and heard it was pretty good.

I already have a reservation for "FRESH". Their breakfast and coffee is so good !

Then after breakfast, back to the BCV for a quick SIESTA and STORM-ALONG-BAY.

Another question: I find it difficult to get a decent counter service breakfast around the Boardwalk, except maybe the Bakery, but I prefer eggs and toast. Is there anything you can recommend at the Swan and Dolphin for counter service breakfast that is decent?

Thank you for the information !

Phil

Picabu cafeteria at the Dolphin. 20% discount for DVC members so bring your membership card.

Both Swan & Dolphin also offer a 20% AAA discount at non-signature restaraunts. You will ned to show your valid AAA card to receive the discount.

We like Picabu for CS breakfast, however their scrambled eggs have always been too runny for what we're used to! They do have your standard breakfast eggs, meats, waffles, etc.

The restaurants that accept the Tables in Wonderland card are:

Il Mulino New York Trattoria
Garden Grove
Kimonos
Shula's Steak House
Todd English's bluezoo

Fresh, the Dolphin Fountain, and Picabu give a 20% AAA discount. There may be others as well.

Restaurant.com has $25 gift certificates for several Swan/Dolphin restaurants (Blue Zoo, Shula's, Il Mulino, Kimonos, Garden Grove), and you can usually save 70-80% with a promotion code. Right now the PLATE promo code will take 80% off the $10 certificate price. Read the fine print, as you usually need to order at least two entrees, and the Garden Grove certificate is for dinner only. I don't think you can combine any other discount with the Restaurant.com certificates.

I also booked Il Mulino for $2.00 for a $25.00 gift certificate, the Garden Grove dinner buffet which is $31.00 per person and includes snow crab legs for $25.00 off for 2 entrees and the Sushi place forgot the name but it's a $25.00 certificate again for $2.00 but you have to spend $35.00 in food! NOT A BAD DEAL AT ALL! YOU can NOT go WRONG! THANKS SO MUCH for these savings!:woohoo:

You're welcome. I read about it here, so I'm just paying it forward! I also bought a House of Blues (Downtown Disney) $25 gift certificate for $2, and the minimum purchase there is $35.

I'll be using one at Shula's on Friday night! We tried it a few yrs. ago and LOVED their steaks! Can't wait!!

There are no expiration dates on the certificates I bought. The promotion changes frequently. Right now the promo code is BIG to save 80% off the usual $10 price for a $25 certificate.

By the way, I loved my visits to Cork and Dublin. :)

Thank you for your help. I just printed certs for House of Blues at DTD for next Easter (my Teen son will love this) AND got 1 Cert for the hotel restaurant in New York & the other for Rosie O'Grady's (we're visiting NYC in December). A bargain for $6.

Thank you all so much for the 'tip'

Nancy-I love Dublin and Cork too. We were in Dublin a few weeks ago (we always stay there over the summer & at xmas for a few days).
We usually also holiday in West Cork in summer BUT because we're going to NYC and watching our Euro, we didn't get to Cork this year.

We live in Kilkenny & at the moment, the Annual Art Festival is on & the place is alive! Its full of street theatre and music. There are many fun events and all sorts of contemporary & traditional shows/music/storytelling and reading and many child events too.
There is art to be found in every street corner and window. We are awash with crafts & woodwork & clay & friezes and all sorts of prints and paintings and canvasses.

Its amazing. I just love the 'buzz'.

Its the same every year around this time and because it is a medieval city with castle and cobblelock streets and an 'inn' dating back to the 1400's, it really is a beautiful historic setting for this event.

Its a great place to be right now!!

I hope you come back to Ireland and visit Kilkenny when you do-even if just for 1 day.you won't regret it!

I hear Aer Lingus are doing the most amazing vacation packages from USA (New York) to Dublin. The price of a weeks accommodation & car hire included in a package for the same price as normal 'economy/coach class' air tickets/fare?

WOW

Wish they'd do the offer the other way around!!

Anyway off to get a cup of tea and some freshly baked banana bread and scones (baked today & bought from our lovely Castle Market)-Everything from fish to bread to pies to vegetables, chocolate and cakes and cheeses and dips all organic and made(caught/reared) within a few miles of Kilkenny City.

Regards

Lesley:thumbsup2

Oh and no I don't work for the local tourist board -honest!!
