I've got a Chef Mickey's ressie for 8 people in May. We'll be celebrating my sister's surprise engagement. I just found out the boyfriend/fiance's brother decided to invite his girlfriend pushing our total to 9. Chef Mickey's has zero open tables for 2 people or 10 people on that day. Do we show up with the 9th person and hope to get seated or do we tell the brother sorry? :confused3

Go to Chef Mickey's and speak with a cast member. I have found many times Disney Dining Reservations will have nothing available but the restaurant is able to accomodate.

I would be surprised if they couldn't accomodate an extra person.

This happened to us on a trip with the in laws, who decided to join us for a couple of meals they had said they didn't want to join us on....anywho, just tell the CM when you check in that there is 9 instead of 8...simple as that. They will accomodate you...it may take a bit longer, but they will do it.

Agreed with above - we have experienced this with moving from 2 to 4 and from 8 to 9 and didn't have a problem either time. Just remember that you draw more flies with honey than vinegar - kill 'em with kindness and you should be fine.

You should have no problems. But just in case, you might want to have two people take turns eating :lmao:

But make sure they get their own refillable mug:thumbsup2.

If they can't accommodate the extra person you can always have an impromptu game of music chairs to eliminate someone.

YOu sould have no problem.. But as the others have said there is ways to get around it.. if you each only go up to the buffet only 1 at a time then there should walys be a chair open.. or there is always lap sitting

That's so funny, I wonder if anybody has played the musical chairs game, ADR edition
