I am planning a vacation for a neighbor that has never been to WDW before. They have three children (DD10, DD5, DS1½). I need to suggest meals for them for 7 days. I do not have any children so can I get the opinions of fellow DISers with children if my choices for them are OK. They are staying at the WL and are on the dining plan (8 nights).

Thursday - Arriving Late (9 PM) - No TS
Friday - Epcot - Coral Reef
Saturday - MK - Crystal Palace
Sunday - Breakfast - 'Ohanas
Sunday - Epcot - Teppanyaki
Monday - Whispering Canyon
Tuesday - MK - 1900 Park Fair
Wednesday - Animal Kingdom - Take Bus from AK to Cont & Chef Mickey's
Thursday - MGM - Sci Fi
Friday - Leaving Early (9AM) - No TS

Thanks for any input.

I've got a DD7 and a DS18 mos, and most of your list sounds perfect! :thumbsup2

Depending on the kids, Teppanyaki may be too adventurous, or it may be just right. I'd also be a little concerned about SciFi being too dark.

We're going back in Sept, staying at WL. Here's our list:

Sunday - Whispering Canyon (LOVED it last year - DD still talks about it)
Monday - Hollywood & Vine (Fantasmic package - a first for us)
Tuesday - Princess Storybook Breakfast (another first - evening menu too adventurous for anyone but me ;) )
Wednesday - OHana (another repeat - what can I say, DD has this thing about racing around restaurants, whether on a pony or pushing a coconut)
Thursday - Coral Reef (sounds cool, DD is into aquariums)
Friday - Chef Mickey (last went several years ago, this one is more for DS - he has a thing for Donald and Mickey)

Last year, we enjoyed 1900 Park Faire as well Crystal Palace Breakfast. I know a lot of people like breakfast before the park opens, but we found a 10:30 ADR worked well for us.

If my math is right, they actually will have a TS credit left over - how about a signature experience? We enjoyed the Backyard BBQ - the kids will be able to get up and dance and run around.

I'd suggest only one change to the OP: 50s Prime Time Cafe instead of Sci-Fi. 50s Prime Time Cafe is truly the quintessential themed dining experience, and the food is great too.

I am tempted to agree with the above post, unless Sci-Fi was for lunch, in that case, burgers, rings, and shakes should be fine. Also, you already have 4 buffet/ fam styles, but if the fam enjoys that, as mine does, how about the Garden Grille, LTT, or Crystal Palace
