Dining Changes For 2006

Just a question...
Pulled up the 2006 Restaurant list for Dining Plan...it seems at a glance that there are less restaurants...and places like CRT say it be a Table Service until Jan. 1 of 2006. What kinds of changes have you guys noticed....is this good or bad in your opinions...

Most of the changes appear to be related to specific use, so it isn't really a matter of good or bad, overall, but rather that Disney is using what it learned from offering the progam last year to craft their offering this year to better reflect what we, their guests, value. So the things that were incredible deals last year will "go up in price" (i.e., the restaurants that went from one TS credit to two TS credits, such as CRT), while things that we didn't think were worth it will either be discontinued or reduced in price (i.e., Coral Reef will now only be one TS credit).

Yes..upon further inspection i notices that, too. I don't necessarily agree with CRT being 2 TS credits. What's the deal with the photo package as well. I love Cindy's and eat there every time we visit WDW..but it is no California Grill in my opinion. Ofcourse I will still eat there, though.

Can someone explain these ts credits? How many do you get? For instance, we are staynig 5 nights and if we do the dining plan do we get one ts credit per day or what? Still trying to decide if we want to do this.

If you decide to add dining to your pkg. you will get 1 table service, 1 counter service, and 1 snack per person, per nights stayed. We just used it in Nov. and found it to be very worthwhile. We saved about $150+ on a 5 night stay for 2 people. You really need to look at how your family likes to eat while at the World. If you are a family who eats a table service every night, you will save. If you enjoy a counter service type (fast food) then you might not save. Either way it is nice to have the choice.

I agree with Deb. How your family likes to eat is the real asssessment of the value of the Dining Plan. We like a nice TS meal in the evening, at home and on vacation. We no longer feel the need to maximize our time in the parks, as we have been many times. We used our CS for lunches.
For us the Dining Plan was perfect. We (3 adults) saved about $450 over the cost of the plan.
I do not know a lot about the changes for 2006, other than the mentioned changes of CRT to 2 TS credits and the change at Coral Reef to 1 TS credit.
Anyone know anything more?

I thought Coral Reef doesn't worth 2 TS credits so I wasn't plan for it on my trip this coming February. But now you guys point out it worth just 1 TS credit. Should I reconsider?

Well I thought it was worth it (2TS), but I already had 2 signature dining meals planned. When I saw this at 1 TS I jumped on it!

Is the princess Akershus one or two. When I was talking to dining, they said all the princess things were two, but I cannot find it being two on any list.

I don't think Coral Reef is worth 1 TS credit. Would only go back for snack/drinks/dessert, just like Sci-Fi.

Look at the link right above your post...the only one going Signature is CRT, if I am not mistaken.
