I'm sad to admit I've never eaten at, or have even been in The Dolphin Resort. I know there are 4 or 5 places to eat here, and have looked over the menus, but I'd appreciate it if a few people from DisBoards gave me their personal reviews. (If I decide to stay here, I'll more than likely try most/all of the restaurants at the hotel.)

Thanks in advance.
:)

What we like - family of DH, DW and 2 teens - DS & DD.
If you have an AAA card, you can get 20% off the below places.

The Fountain @ Dolphin
Classic BLT - choice of white or whole wheat bread $7.75 - lettuce is always crisp, the tomatoes fresh and bacon cooked just right.

Build Your Favorite Burger $10.95
Choice of topppings: American, Swiss or Cheddar cheese; chili, bacon, sauteed onions or mushrooms - Our teens like the Cheddar, bacon & mushrooms. They eat the whole buger, not a complaint from them.

Turkey Burger - topped with apple horseradish cream $9.95 - DH likes the zing to the burger from the horseradish (to each their own :rotfl: )

ALSO our teens like:
Blastin' Brownie Sundae - fudge brownie with or without nuts, topped with a swirl of vanilla soft serve, hot fudge, whipped cream, walnuts and a cherry $7.00

Rainbow Fizz - rainbow sherbet blended with a "secret ingredient" to make this cool treat, topped with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles $5.95

Picabu Buffeteria @ Dolphin
Pizza - 12" $12.95 - not bad for a quick dinner (we get 2 for our family)
Chicken Tenders $9.25 - you get a large portion (not a McDonald's nugget)

Gulliver's at the Garden Grove @ Swan for dinnerCheck to see what theme is dinner before you go. ADR's are not normally needed. We like the Italian night. Very nice selections and a top your own pasta bar. The dessert area will add some pounds onto your waist line.
The theme for dinner changes every night.

I moved your post over to the main Restuarant Board for more exposure.

Have you checked out the menus for the S&D?

I have been to the Fountain a couple times (it was my I need to be alone for just 30 minutes break!). Enjoyed the food, basic and reminds me of B&C.

If you like sushi, give Kimonos a try. Love the sushi.

Picabu is like a food court/cafeteria. Food was pretty good, basic, but good (some things were VERY expensive though)

Haven't tried the other places yet. I want to try Fresh in January

Thanks Pumbaa. I did look at the menus for the first time a couple nights ago, and was surprised because most of everything on them seemed great. I'm not sure why I have never been to this hotel, but I was looking for another excuse to stay here. Sushi would be one of those good excuses. :thumbsup2

I almost always stay at the Swan or Dolphin, but rarely eat there. I don't care for Picabu, but had a very good breakfast at Fresh in April. I also like the sundaes at The Fountain, and enjoyed the sandwiches there in the past. Some day I'd like to try Il Mulino at the Swan and Blue Zoo at the Dolphin.

Blue Zoo looks really nice. Since I'm going alone, I'd more than likely spend a night or two at the bar. :woohoo:
