We have early dining. What time would be good to make my reservation for Palo knowing that we need to get the kids feed (8 and 6) first. Is the kids club open and can they take them for dinner?

Yes, the kid's club will take them to dinner. I think you'll need to have them at the club by a certain time, as they all go in a group.

We also have early dining and made our Palo's ressies for 6:30pm. The kids clubs have dinner from 5:30-6:15pm every night except the last night (it's later that night). We will put our 7 year old twins in the club for dinner and activities and let them know that mom & dad are having their evening out, so no pages unless someone fell overboard :rotfl2: ! That way we have some time to get ready before going to Palo's. And if the kids want to join us for the main ship activity of the evening, we'll have enough time to check them out and get there before it starts.

You can put them in the club for dinner time and beyond. Check your child's navigator to make certain of times.

Here are a few more options:

Order room service in your room before taking them to the club
Go up to the pool deck and order food and let them eat outside
Let the kids go to the regular dining rotation by themselves (have NOT done this)

You have several options. Just because you are going to Palo does not mean the kids must eat at the club. We normally let our kids get some chicken fingers. They eat them on the verandah and then go to the club. My children are a little older. Last year they decided to go to the movies instead of the club. We let them but our IL's were availalbe for them.

we were on a 4 day and didn't want to miss Triton's so we double dipped --we took our kids to dinner and just had an appetizer and drink while they ate. we talked with our tablemates and children, after they were done we took them to the clubs. We of course explained what we were doing to our server

Don't forget you can take them to Topsiders anytime during dinner hours as another option.

we normally take our kids to the normal 6pm early seating - we sit with them and don't eat

then we put the kids in the club for a few hours

we usually eat at Palos at 7:30

We downloaded some recent kids navigators and let our DD9 look through the evening schedules to see what night looked most interesting to her, then we booked our Palo night on that night. It seemed to help her feel like she was 'involved' in the decision making process and feels much better about being 'required' to be in the lab while we are having our Palo Dinner. She feels less 'left out'. Of course, the schedules do change sometimes so we can't be 100% certain that those activities will actually occur on the the night that she chose. :bored: She may end up learning a very important life lesson ... you don't always get what you want, and make the best of what comes your way. :rolleyes1
