Dining at OKW?

We only ate 2 meals at OKW the week we stayed. Lunch at the take out counter, it was okay for take out.
And brkft. our last day in Olivia's, none of us liked our meal. That is a meal that should be hard to mess up...well the did it.

We will plan only outside OKW meals our next visit.

Their counter service is pretty good. The sandwiches are large and very fresh.

I've eaten at Olivia's for lunch once. I tried a pasta entree with spinach and cheese. It was delicious. They also have a tasty key lime pie. Since there were few people in the restaurant at that hour service was quick and friendly.

If you don't want to eat at Olivia's you can order meals for take-out at the bar next door (Gurgling Suitcase).

Given that OKW is a Vacation Club Resort and each unit has a kitchen/kitchenette Olivia's is on the small side. I'd still say, give it at least one try before saying "no way".

During our November '03 stay I ate 4 breakfasts there ---- do you think maybe I like the place??? The best was the cheesy potatoes (although one server said that occasionally the chef makes regular breakfast potatoes). Omelets were good, bacon wonderful, loved being able to have biscuits, really liked the sweet potato hash (but it doesn't come with the cheesy potatoes).

We've had good sandwiches at lunch and saw quite a few Disney employees eating there.

And we end up going there for dinner several times each trip, no matter where we're staying -- especially when we can't figure out what we're in the mood for. It's very comfortable and casual, with good service, and you can usually walk in without a reservation. The food is generally very good --- we've liked the filet and stuffed shrimp, prime rib, sandwiches, mahi mahi, grouper. A couple times we were a little disappointed in one thing, but never the whole meal. The atmosphere is worth it to us ---- it's not usually noisy, like a lot of the Disney restaurants can be in the eve.

I believe Olivia's continues to get a bad 'wrap'! It is an OK restaurant for every meal of the day. I find it reasonably priced and they have a nice variety of food. I believe lunch is their best meal of the day and if you haven't been to this restaurant...I feel it is worth a try. It is not a top WDW restaurant, but the service and food make it a very reasonable choice for a meal.

My sister and I ate breakfast at Olivia's last summer,(July,03) and we thought it was alright. We had not been to WDW since 1988 and had never ate at Olivia's before. We did not have any complaints about the food no matter what restaurant we ate at while at WDW. We felt like the food and service had been improved much in the past 15 years. When we go back next summer we will be staying at OKW and we would not hestitate to eat at Olivia's again.

We always eat at Olivia's, and have had good food and service at all the mealtimes. Everything has been hot, fresh and nicely prepared. There is a lot to choose from. If there is something on the menu you have had before, but it not currently listed, they will make it for you and I appreciate that. Favorites of mine are the giant onion rings and the mixed vegetables that accompany many of the dinners. They have great salads, too. This place is at least worth a try!

We've eaten there twice for dinner and thought it was very good. Especially enjoyed the prime rib and a stuffed shrimp dish. For Disney we thought the prices were good for the amount and value of the food. I would give it a try. We plan on going back.

We've had some very good meals at Olivia's. My husband's favorite meal there is breakfast. He likes to eat on the patio and people watch. I like their sandwiches.

We have never had a bad meal at Olivia's. We actually make it a point to eat there at least once a trip no matter where we are staying. Give Olivia's a try, you will be glad that you did.

Let me jump in and also say give it a try. We've always had good food and good service at Olivia's.
