For once we have decided to dine 'properly' at MK (evening meal) rather than just grab a burger.

Always fancied Crystal Palace but no idea what it's like. Any recommendations?

If not where is it good for 2 adults(!!) without those pesky kids :thumbsup2 to have a 'reasonable meal?

Hi Crystal Palace is a buffet with Pooh and friends, it is a very good buffet, but dont know if you consider it to be great for two adults without pesky kids :rotfl2: . Although, we have no children we have enjoyed it in the past, along with the Liberty Tree which is a family style dinner of turkey, beef, mashed potatoes etc, this also has characters ...
If it is just the two of you - why not jump on the monorail to one of the resort restaurants, you would also be able to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail at one of these if you enjoy that sort of thing

Dont think you will get away from those kids there but the meal is great, its a buffet. Of the top of my head there`s are not much in they way of TS at MK best bet would be epcot.

Table service restaurants in MK are:

Cinderella's Royal Table
Very popular character meals that can be difficult to get reservations. Very popular with children.

Liberty Tree Tavern
Nice place for dinner - all you can eat 'family style' (food is brought out on serving dishes and you help yourself, when a dish is empty it will be replaced).
Dinner is a character meal, so planty of kids :) Although theming and atmosphere feels more adult.

Tony's Town Square
Italian themed, has had patchy reviews. Possibly a few less kids here though.

Crystal Palace
Character buffet meal. Plenty of kids of all ages, especially if big Pooh fans :)

Another option is to make the short hop over to one of the MK resort - Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary (via resort monorial) or Wilderness Lodge (via boat). There are some nice, more adult orientated restaurants at these resorts.

Check out the menus here:

i can reccomend the concourse steakhouse at the contemporary resort...fab food :thumbsup2

We've eaten at all of the TS restaurants in MK. I always find CP to be a zoo whether you are having breakfast, lunch or dinner. LTT is my favourite restaurant in MK but then again it can also get pretty manic. Tony's is a beautifully themed restaurant but the food can either be a hit or miss. Plaza has excellent burgers but then again you want something different. My vote would go to CRT. The food is not always the best but nothing beats eating in the castle.

HTH.

We've also eaten at them all, but never for dinner. I found the food at CRT, Tony's and the Plaza extremely disappointing. I was pleasantly surprised with the offerings at Crystal Palace (breakfast). LTT wasn't bad (lunch is a la carte, not family style).

I ate dinner at CRT in 2004 and enjoyed it. I went with my husband and sister, and well enjoyed the meal, and are still raving about the dessert we had. I recommend it!

I'm sorry, - I should have made it clear that this is without our pesky kids not without kids in general!!

Thanks for all the suggestions but still not really sure where to go!! As it's in November we may wing it a bit and see what we fancy on the day.

If all else fails its back to Pecos Bills for a burger.

hi, we have just got home  and ate at tonys town square in MK. The food was very nice but the service left a bit to be desired. We had eaten our meal before the server had even got us a glass of water!! then she offered us bread after the meal!
they were also running quite late on reservations which nearly made us miss "wishes".
they do get booked up pretty quick though at MK so i would decide asap and make your reservation.

We ate at CP last month. Nice buffet and lovely characters however we were there with our kids. If I was out without kids I definitely wouldn't choose CP - it is quite hectic and is full of kids. If it was just the two of us I would do as others suggest and take the monorail to one of the resort hotels for a more 'grown-up' meal. :)
