dining at hollywood studios - hollywood & vine?

my 2 cents...

17 of us did the fantasmic dining package at h&v. all of us walked out of there agreeing that it was just ok.

dont get me wrong, it wasnt bad... we just expected more from disney.

now that i think about it... we expected more for our money too.

needless to say, we wont be going back

We ate at H&V in January 2009 and to be honest, I didn't notice that the food or service were better or worse than other WDW buffets. I wonder if it gets a bad rap here because it is less adept at handling busy season crowds than the other buffets?

The only negative for me at H&V is that we don't know those characters so we prefer Mickey and the gang or Pooh's possee.

We have eaten dinner at H&V a number of times for the F! package and have always found it to be just fine, but there are lots of bad reviews on the DIS. Just like any other WDW buffet there are certain things there that each of us really like - for DH it is the creamed corn/corn bread casserole, for me the chocolate mousse is to die for, for DS6 well he will eat mac n cheese anywhere and always says it is the best he's ever had, and DS3 who has a dairy allergy - they have always been wonderful there with getting him food he can eat.
In fact, the last few times we have booked this package, we haven't even gone to F!
I will say that the restroom, which is shared with Prime Time, is horrifying.
