Hi Guys,
I was hoping to dine at Big Thunder and Blue Bayou for dinner while I'm at Disneyland Oct 6-11. Online dining is only showing lunch available during this time. What is the chance I will be able to just walk up during the my trip to get in? We are a family of 5. Thanks!

I think it might be part of the ongoing problems with October dining bookings. See this thread: http://www.disboards.com/threads/early-october-dining-booking-issues.3436240/page-4

Normally, both of those locations should be open for dinner if they're open for lunch. In general, if you're willing to wait, you can usually (but not always) get a walk-up at the BBQ. The 11th might be a bit dicey because it's CHOC walk, but the weekdays will probably be okay (again, if you're willing to wait). The Blue Bayou is a different matter. I can't recall any time when I've been there and they were taking walk-ups (weekdays, weekends, peak season, non-peak periods, etc.). So if you want to eat at BB, I would highly recommend making a reservation, especially given your party size.

Same day walk-ups may not be easy, but...on average...you can still get a reservation just about anywhere in DLR 48 hours out. So, I wouldn't sweat it at this time. You'll be able to book soon enough.
