Dining at Disney Springs without ADR

We are at the point of wanting to have an easy day in July without a reservation and just eat where we like. How easy or hard would it be to eat a table service meal at Disney Springs without a reservation?

Thanks.

Most Disney springs restaurants have availability in OpenTable. Homecomin does not, but most do.

If you don't make a reservation the earlier you get there the better at dinner . Especially if a Friday or Saturday

Morimoto Asia would be your best bet especially not on Friday or Saturday nights. It's got the most seats of any restaurant there if I'm not mistaken. STK and Paddlefish are probably your second best bets. House of Blues and WPGC should be easy relatively easy as well. Smaller restaurants like Frontera and Homecomin' will be more unlikely to have walk ups.

Second Morimoto's. And you can usually get a seat at the sushi bar if you arrive early.

I am thinking there are a few where you would be welcome with open arms (Planet Hollywood, Paradiso, and Paddlefish). Also, don't forget the lounges. Places like the lava lounge (food from Rain forest), hole in the wall (apps from Raglan/Cookes), Dockside bar (apps and menu items from Boathouse) etc. And, Blaze is always a good choice if you ask me.

You also didn't mention how many in your party. If just two, you probably will have lots of options

Lately, we enjoy dining around DS at the to-go windows. We love the empanadas and Cuban sandwiches at Bongos and the ribs at Morimoto Street Food. Our kids love the pizza at Blaze, while I'm obsessed with their blood orange lemonade! This trip we plan to try the chicken sandwich at Homecomin and some BBQ from the Polite Pig.

DS has become an "Epcot of food" for us that we enjoy trying a little bit of everything.

How many in your party? If it is two adults eating at the bar is an option, esp. if you go earlier. If it is family definitely go early and hope.

There are two of us. If it helps, it is a Thursday we are looking at. We have ADR at Boma at 7 pm.

We are doing DS on arrival day so my daughter ban do BBB and relax. Our plane arrives at MCO at 11:00 and we have BBB at 2:40. What do you think the chances are of a family of 4 around 1 PM for Homecomin on a Sunday? My wife wanted to "play it by ear" but really wants to eat there. The other option is to snack before BBB and do Homecomin around 3:45.

Do you think you would have enough time at BBB and still get to Homecoming at 3:45?

Honestly you're not going to want to eat much at lunchtime if you're having dinner at Boma. As good as some of the DS places are - and I love Frontera Cocina and the Boathouse - the last thing I'd want is to arrive at Boma without an appetite.

On weekdays, Disney Springs restaurants often have plenty of availability for walk-ins, especially if you arrive early or late. Weekends are another story. I'd also check OpenTable the day you want to dine -- you very likely will be able to snag a reservation on a few hours' notice, and there's no penalty for canceling or not showing up.

have a light lunch like earl of sandwich before BBB, is unpredictable how long it would take the princess make over, and you might end up having lunch too close to 7pm ADR, and how long does it takes from the airplane door to Disney springs? I don't see much time until your BBB 2:40 appointment

I've had pretty good luck with same day ADRs.

I would check mde as you head over to DS to see what's available. If something looks good go ahead and make the ADR. Not 100% spontaneous but would avoid the potential aggravation of going from place to place and hours long waits.
