We are planning to see the Spectromagic Parade on Tuesday, May 18th at 8:30 p.m.

Is there a good place to eat and get a view of the parade? We have a 7:30 PS for Rose and Crown on another night so we can try for a patio seat for Illuminations. I was just wondering if there is a similar possibility in the MK.

Any ideas?

OR

Any ideas on where to watch the parade and get out of MK without being trampeled? We will be staying at WL and just taking the ferry back.

Thanks for any tips.

One of the best times of one my past Disney vacations was having dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, and emerging from the restaurant just as the parade was going by. We were new to Disney, so we didn't even know there was going to be a parade - I've loved Spectromagic ever since! I wanted plan the same dinner for my last trip so my kids could experience it - but unfortunately Spectromagic only was on our first night there at 7:00 and we missed it (we didn't check into our hotel until 2:00 AM the night before!!). Hope this helps!

I've read Liberty Square and Frontierland can be good places to watch MK parades.

Thanks again!

Sorry - I really didn't mean to double post. I look at three different message boards throughout the day and I became confused.

Sorry, my mistake!

We once ate dinner in the outside section of Tony's Town Square. We hadn't planned on viewing the parade, but it ended up being the perfect spot for eating and watching the parade. I don't know if you can request the outside area when making a PS. We just made a PS (same day) and when we got there, they asked if we'd like to be seated inside or outside.

We've been considering Tony's for one dinner late this April, thinking we could eat and be finished in time to watch Spectromagic. Anyone know about how long it takes to have dinner at this restaurant? Should we make PS's for 7 to be done for the 8:30 Spectromagic? One other question about this restaurant -- would they frown on someone ordering an appetizer and dessert and NO entree?? My husband can eat like a lumberjack, but not me!
