I am just about making myself bonkers trying to find the best deal over here :rotfl:

Ok so I *think* I found the best week for us. I am still deciding on a few thing such as adding a few days at another resort (the price doubles come second friday, saturday...not really surprised though). It is nearly double the price of the whole week we are going for those extra days! :lmao:

Anyway, I know my 3 yr old and 1 yr old are not going to eat enough to make me buying a DP worth it per se. If I got one for DH and I they would certainly feast off of ours. I know I've seen various DP and ticketing combos. Do you get the same dining days as you do ticket days if you buy a package?

I just think it's a HUGE waste to buy my 3 yr old a dining plan. I know DH and I could share it with them. Is there any getting around this? I would like to not have to worry about food while there, but then again keeping expenses down is the key! :surfweb:

Your 1 yr old won't cost anything... so technically you are just getting the DP for your 3 yo. If you want to do character meals, most are buffet, and you are going to pay for the 3 yo anyway. The dining plan really saves some $ over all vs. if you paid cash for the same meals.

You do have to have tickets to get the dining plan.

Let me know if you have more ??'s about taking little ones! BTDT last year, and doing it again in less than 2 mos. :rotfl:

Ok so what is BTDT? I'm trying to figure out how much the 1 QS, 1 snack, 1 sit down meal is for my DD to see if I think that's worth it for her. Any other tips you have I'm all ears :woohoo:

I think we are going to do Pop this time because I found a great rate with my 30% pin. I was looking at higher end resort but it's such a good rate I can't justify spending so much more :scared1:

The dining plan goes by how many nights you stay and any unused credits go *poof* at the end of your checkout day (from your package stay) so it's "use 'em or lose 'em". Plus, everyone in your room/on ressie will need the same package (1 yo is free in room/park tickets/dining) so if you and DH get the meal plan, you would have to get the meal plan for the 3yo too.

The next bummer is when they turn 10 - you get to pay the adult price for the dining plan yet they still eat like birds (well, at least mine did).

Been there, done that!

The dining plan for the 1 qs, 1 snack & 1 TS meal is between $12-$13/night at the resort, depending on when you go (regular vs. peak seasons).

The kid's prices for buffets at the character meals run about $11 - $15. So that alone covers the cost of the DP.

Check your PM's (upper right corner, near your user name).
