Dining and Excursion Reservations

Hi, sorry if this is posted elsewhere. We are not DVC members, and are considering a visit next summer. Are reservations accepted at the 180 day mark like WDW? Does the hotel reservation show up in your MDE account and reservations are made that way, of do you need to call to reserve?

We are dvc members and have been to aulani four times. Going back again in may. We always use points. But If you just want to reserve a room for cash I would see what deals you can get through Expedia, booking.com, etc. or you could do it directly with aulani, either online or via phone. If you do it directly you could probably just link the reservation number to your mde account. As for dining reservations I have always made those online at the aulani web site. I haven't linked my dining reservation to mde but I suppose you could

Dining reservations are available 180 days out and can be made on the Aulani site. Not sure about excursions as we didn't book any.

No, nothing shows up on your MDE account. It is not WDW. It is just like a regular hotel. You can look up your reservation just like a regular hotel.

PPs are correct. It won't show up in MDE since Aulani does not use MDE, have MBs, etc. You can go to the Aulani site and type in your confirmation number to view your reservation, and you can make your dining reservations online. Not sure whether they open at 180 days or not, but we made our dining reservations about 90 days in advance with no issue.
