Adults only trip-me and my husband. Want to do dinner, a mini monorail bar crawl and watch the MK fireworks. The night we have planned is a party night at MK so fireworks are scheduled at 10p I believe. We currently have a dinner reservation at Narcoosies at 7:35p. How should I plan it out? Can we go back to Narcoosies deck to watch fireworks if we leave as I think we’ll be done way before 10. I would like to try trader sams/tiki terrace...should we head there after dinner and watch from the beach? Anywhere in the contemporary we should consider? Try to move dinner reservation?

I've never done it, but what about the Sip and Sparkle thingy at the Contemporary? Is that good?

The Wave bar is underrated. We had a great time there. Also Trader Sams was awesome! I’d probably go there before dinner. After dinner try out the new BATB bar at GF before going back up for fireworks.

If you keep Narcoosee's as is, I would simply walk over to Poly and go to the Trader Sam's terrace for drinks and fireworks. Last time we were there, they piped in the music right on the terrace. You can also see the fireworks from the Poly beach and marina. After the fireworks, perhaps go inside Trader Sam's to see the antics and effects.

How crowded does the terrace get? I’ve heard that to actually get into TSGG is usually a pretty long wait. Is the terrace more walk right up and get a drink?

I’ve had the Wave on my list to research!

Does anyone know if we are allowed back on Narcoosies deck if we leave after dinner (I’ve read Cali grille has policy where you show receipt but couldn’t find anything about Narcoosies)

My recollection is that the deck around Narcoossee's is open to the public so anyone including the restaurant's guests can stand there during the fireworks thus no receipt is needed. The seating area at Narcoossee's is tiered so most guests can see with ease. However you can also view the MK fireworks at the following places in GF:
The patio just outside Gasparilla; further along the marina there are benches and ledges for seating, as well as the gazebo area and benches by the launch landing.

HTH!

Not on the monorail, but Territory Lounge is the most underrated drink place on property. Then head to Geyser Point for a drink by the water. DISCLOSURE: I love Wilderness Lodge.

Oh no! My secret is out! We always visit one or both on our monorail crawl.

The open veranda policy changed a few years ago. I am not sure if it is enforced, however they no longer officially allow people who do not have reservations watch the show from the porch.

Yes, there is typically a wait to get inside Trader Sam's. I have never seen the outdoor terrace terribly crowded. If it is, there are still plenty of places to see the fireworks from Poly like the marina area and the beach.

Can I chime in for a question? Have you been to the BATB bar? I have an ADR at 1900 PF for our arrival night dinner. Two 13 YO girls and my sister, all newbies. I never take kids into bars anywhere, however I knwo DIsney lounges allow minors, and am comfortable they will not be exposed to "adult" behavior in most places. Do you know if there are beverage options the girls would like or if it is really too adult to take them?

I haven’t been there yet since it just opened. But it’s all kid friendly. There are a few NA drinks on the menu.
