Dining and Concierge Question

I haven't been to the world since '06 and my daughter surprised me at Christmas with an October trip for the two of us. We are staying at the Beach Club concierge (yes, I am jumping up and down as I type!) My question is this. Since we are staying concierge, will the concierge make our dining reservations for us? I think I remember that they will do this for you. If so, How soon do I give them our list of preferred dining options? Thanks for your help. I haven't planned a trip for so long, that I'm afraid I'm a little rusty at it. I am also hoping they still have the wishes dessert party in October, would they make that reservation for us as well?

Hmmm....If you are going in October, I would start researching where you would like to go from now, and make the reservations yourself.....Only because everyone plans so far in advance...myself included.....

I'm an OCD planner and plan like mad. We stayed at AKL concierge in the past and I made our own ressies. (The concierge then was able to work with what I had, tweak times and/or make a few changes when asked as it got closer to our arrival date.) However, now that I'm in college I have the time to pick out reservations and activities, but not so much the time to log on (there's the online booking option now) and tinker around (especially at odd hours). For the first time, I allowed AKL IPO to make our reservations after I gave them a list. I did it with plenty of time to spare. I think at the time, bookings could be made 90 days in advance. I think I gave the list to the IPO via email around 120 days in advance. Please keep in mind that reservations changed now so that they can be made 180 days in advance. They got every time I wanted (with only 10 minutes difference at most) and sent me a detailed .pdf file. I was so impressed. I highly recommend allowing the IPO staff to help you out. I mean you are staying concierge after all!

I should have been a little more clear. I absolutely plan to give restaurant choices and requested times to the concierge and then have them make the ressies for me. This is what I believe you were saying. I just wondered how far in advance I could provide my list to them. also, because I want Cindy's breakfast on our first park morning, would they have any priority in getting that for me, or would I be better off to just call myself at the 180 day mark.
