Hello!

We have reservations at Le Cellier for 8:20 pm on a night when Epcot closes at 9 pm. Does this mean we'll have a rushed meal? Or can we stay past closing? If so, do we leave through the regular entrance?
Thank you for the info! :thumbsup2

1) You won't have a rushed meal.
2) But your service will be VERY quick.
3) Employees have families and want to go home.
4) You leave through the nroaml entrance.
5) You will probably be escorted so you don't wander around.

NOTE: Your dinner shouldn't be more than a hour. I guarantee you won't be there much later. This is about the time Illuminations is over and everyone else is going toward the gates.

They won't try and throw you out at 9pm, no, but they probably won't take their time either since they want to go home ;)

Is Illuminations at 9pm that night? We have an 830 reservation on a night that Epcot closes at 9pm and IllumiNations is at 9pm so I know the park will have people in it another 30 minutes or so after 9 for that and trying to clear people out.

We actually enjoy getting one of the last reservations of the night just so we can leave the park while few are there... it's very romantic at Epcot, esp ;) We've never had bad service due to timing, thankfully.

We had a late reservation once and the park was all but empty when we left. It was really neat to stroll thru with so few people. We were staying at the BC, so we went out the Gateway.

It was not a problem at all.

Oooh, I just found out there are Extra Magic Hours that night!

LOL! Well, that takes care of your question :)
I had a late PS at Les Chefs de France last September, around 8:30. I ended up leaving around 10, and there were still a few Guests dining.

We ate there on 6/7/06 with and 8:30 ADR. The park closed after the 9pm Illuminations. Our service was not rushed at all, it was almost painfully slow. There were still several tables behind us in the area we were seated in. 1 family had just been served their entrees when we left at 10:30pm. We walked out the front gates of Epcot after taking some great pictures along the way and were directed to a different bus stop than our "assigned" stop because at that time of night they combine routes but the bus arrived 10 minutes later.

I agree with the other posts...a late reservation in Epcot is the best. We did this (not be choice) earlier this year and got the latest reservation in Japan. We never felt rushed and when we left we had to be the only people left in the park. It was a completely magical walk back to the bus. It was like the entire park was left open for us. The lights, fountains, music, everything was still on and no one was hovering around us to get us out of there. We got to the bus terminal and there was one bus waiting for us to take us back to our resort. Don't hesitate to make the late reservation in fact make a point to do it!
