Dear Disney friends,

Having made our PS for Oct, I now have one final question. (Mind you, we are traveling with DD 4 1/2 and DS almost 3). Was able to secure Epcot storybook princess breakfast and was planning on shooting for CRT later this week at the 60 day mark. However, here what I am thinking...I already have one princess breakfast, so why not try to do 'Ohana for Dinner instead on the day I planned for the CRT breakfast. OK, we could try for both, but to be honest with you, you just get too much dang food! Have never eaten at 'Ohana (DD just LOVES Lilo) and after reading several posts, sounds like a lot of fun. Not to mention, the food in the resorts tends to be much better IMHO. Also, DD is the original Mulan FANatic. Has anyone seen her yet at the new Epcot storybook breakfast???

Here's our dining itinerary, suggestions, comments welcome :)

Day one: GF 1900 Park Fair Character Dinner (Pooh and friends)

Day two: Breakfast buffet at BOMA

Day three: (Here's where I'm stuck) CRT breakfast or 'Ohana

Day four: Epcot Storybook Princess breakfast

Day five: 50's Primetime Cafe Lunch

Day six: (final night) Chef Mickeys

We've secured a fair # of Character meals....so I really wouldn't feel to bad about not getting CRT. So what do you think?

PS: anybody been to Campfire program at FW? Would be curious to hear more about that, too.

There are no characters at the 'Ohana dinner, so it is very unlikely that your DD's will see Lilo, or anyone that really resembles her. Your best bet to see Lilo and Stitch is at the MGM Studios.

As for the princess breakfasts... the food at both is entirely different, as are most of the characters. You won't see Cinderella at the Storybook Princess breakfast, at all! Why would she be there instead of at her castle (see what I mean).

If you do decide not to the the Cinderella breakfast, I would suggest the Hollywood and Vine character breakfast or lunch at MGM. Minnie is there in a beautiful dress, the characters are great, and the food is delicious!

'Ohana has a character breakfast only. In looking at the characters at Norway's Princess Breakfast, Cindy is the only one not going to be there but you can meet her at Toontown at MK on most days.

Thanks so much for the replies. I know there are no characters at 'Ohana for dinner, but that's what I meant. I think we may be already "charactered out " by that time. I just wondered about the entertainment value for two small kids at 'Ohana for dinner. Sounds like its a good time.

Thanks again :)

Personally I think I agree with your character comment. If you will be doing the Princess Breakfast, and stop at Toontown to see Cindy, there really isn't any reason to worry about CRT unless you really want to eat in the castle. You'll be re-running most of the characters anyway. If you skip CRT you can get into Fantasyland earlier with the kids and catch many of the rides with little to no lines, hit Toontown when it opens (an hour after Fantasy land) and encounter little to no lines. Have a great day at MK, and have an early dinner at O'hana (take the monorail) or if there are fireworks that day, a late dinner and enjoy a leisurelly meal. You will, most likely, feel rushed at CRT and although the French Toast is great the rest of the food was rather unremarkable. We ate at both CRT and O'hana's in July. Ohana will keep the kids busy with the Hula Hoops and Coconut races and the food was exceptionally tasty! Sorry so long, and I hope I helped!!!;)

OHana will be great for dinner. You and DH will really enjoy the food too (do a little something for yourselves!) The kids will have a great time as well. It sounds like just enough char meals to me. Besides, I thought the food at CRT was terrible. ;)
Have a great vacation!

I just wanted to comment on the Campfire movie. You can read my reviews on both the Camping forum as well as the Trip Reports board.
In short, we loved it! It was the most fun ever. We saw Jungle Book and bought a S'more's kit. The kids toasted marshmallows and made smore's. We stayed for the whole thing which went until about 10pm but plenty of people straggled out throughout. I would highly recommned it altho' you will have to take into consideration the dispositions of your young children.

Any other questions, just ask!
