Taking DD for our first trip to Disney, just mother/teen daughter this trip. We are both light eaters and will be just learning our way around, so we are hesitant to make ADRs anywhere since we don't want the pressure of being on a schedule and possibly being "late" somewhere due to inexperience! Can you just go to Disney and wing it if you are willing to skip formal, sit-down meals? Considered doing the Quick Service plan, but not sure which is best for us. Any advice would be most appreciated!

Thanks,

Pidge

I like to have 1 tbs serive a day. It's nice to sit down relax and enjoy a nice dinner. We do CS for bk & Lun. I would consider booking dinners. Just my opinion.

How about just taking it easy and book only a couple of places you would both like to try? Say you are going for a week; book 2 meals. Try to make it a priority to get those and don't do the dining plan or do Quick serivce and pay for those TS out of pocket. We usually do the DP, but we like at least one TS meal per day. Before DP, we would usually book two or three places per visit and make those. Of course, those were the days that you could walk-up and often get in to rest. without an ADR.

If you decide you are busy or enjoying something else, call and cancel the day of.

If you want the Quick Service plan it sounds as though it might work for you - but as you are light eaters (and you may not really care to get dessert with every meal) you may want to consider going with no dining plan at all.

When are you going? If it's during free dining then why not make a few reservations of places you want to try?

It's better to be safe and make a few ADRs...You can always cancel them!

I agree. It would be wise to make ADR's especially if there are places you want to try. It will make a diff when you are going and for how long. But the really good places are hard to get into so maybe you can book your must-do's and play the others by ear. If you are light eaters I would say forget the dining plan... it is alot of food.
