Hi everyone - It is daunting to get through all of these posts so I am posting on my own.

We are going to WDW from 8/31/08-9/6/2008. It is Myself, DW, and our twin boys who will be turning 4 this summer. We will be staying at the Boardwalk Villas and need to set up ADRs quickly. DW and I have been to WDW often but NEVER with the children. Please let us know where we should be scheduling reservations. Our priority would be around dinner as we will be playing it by ear for breakfast and lunch. Please provide the restaurant name and also include why it is a great choice for the whole family.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

My boys are now 11 and 12. Some of the places they really liked when they were younger were:

Sci-Fi - not great but decent food and the boys loved sitting the the cars. Really great theming and atmosphere.

Chef's Mickey's - have only done the character breakfast, good food and lots of fun.

Rainforest Cafe - great theming, especially if either of your boys are into animals; food was good

Whispering Canyon Cafe - we thought the food was excellent; loud and really fun atmosphere. WL is just a cool place to visit - if you do go, let the boys look around the lobby and also take them back behind the pool area down toward the boat launch to see the geyser.

Coral Reef - our food was excellent, nice choices for the kids, the boys thought the aquarium was really neat

Beaches & Cream - great place for burgers and if your boys like ice cream then what more can I say about a place that offers the "kitchen sink" for dessert. :rotfl:

Biergarten - great atmosphere, lots of food choices for both adults and kids (I think this is my kids favorite place as far as food); they also have a German band that plays. Nice for both adults and kids. One of our favorite places.

Have a great trip. :)

I would definitely suggest doing a character meal or two. For these it depends what characters your kids are into. Crystal Palace is a great buffet with the Winnie the Pooh characters. Chef Mickey's is also another good option for young kids. I know you want to focus on dinner time, but a good breakfast idea would be Cape May. This is a wonderful buffet and we have always had great character interaction, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale. It tends to be less crowded than some of the more well known character meals as well. Since you are staying at the Boardwalk it is a quick walk or boat ride to the Beach Club.

Hi,

Coral Reef @ Epcot - one entire wall is an aquarium... helps to keep the little ones entertained, so Mom & Dad can relax and enjoy. (Good food.)

Si-Fi Dine-In @ Hollywood Studios - sit in cars at the drive-in movies. My kids request this for every trip. (Think - burger joint, mostly.)

Chef Mickey's @ Contemporary Resort (conveniently located to MK) or Crystal Palace @ MK. Character buffet meals, breakfast or dinner.

Teppan Edo @ Epcot in Japan. Good food - kids entertained by chefs.

Whispering Canyon @ Wilderness Lodge - good food, fun place.

Ohana @ the Poly - good food, some games for the kids... coconut races, etc.

? Yak & Yeti ? @ Animal Kingdom - (We're trying this restaurant on our next trip.) Or, the boys would probably enjoy Rainforest Cafe @ Animal Kingdom.

My daughters thought Crystal Palace was the best place to go. They were 10 and 3 when we went, and both daughters want to go there again this time (8 and 16). They talk about it being there favorite...even the one who was 3 remembers it.

All of the above suggestions sound great...

For a character meal in Epcot, you might try Garden Grill -- family style meal, Chip and Dale, restaurant rotates for a changing view.

And if you change your mind and want a character breakfast that's good for little boys, we loved 'Ohana, family style, Lilo and Stitch (and Mickey and Pluto too!) They only have characters at breakfast, not dinner.
