Hi! Our family of 4, including 2 teens, is headed to Universal over Christmas. Any advice on somewhere special to eat for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Either in the parks, city walk or hotels? We are staying at Sapphire Falls.

We ate at Margaritaville on Christmas Day for dinner. Let me just say, CityWalk was a huge sea of people. And if you did not have a prior reservation, crazy is the mildest word I would say. So, I would make a reservation in your hotel or RPR to get out of the crowds. Check Damo’s thread on food. She has current menus, so I would take a look and decide on which restaurants you would like to eat in. Then see if you can make a reservation as soon as you can. Universal is not consistent with how far in advance you can make a reservation, so keep checking. Oh, and do not go outside the resorts. Very few restaurants are open. Trust me. We have spent several years over the holidays in Orlando area. And, we will be back again this year. I will be making reservations and braving the crowds. I will also stay onsite, as the parking garages are scary crowded too.

But, have an awesome time. I am giddy at the new stuff they are doing in the Universal parks.

Thanks for the info on the crowd levels at City Walk. I did see something that said Sapphire Falls was having a buffet on Christmas day but it was pretty pricey for us at $56/pp. Cabana Bay is also supposed to have one for less money - I wonder if we can go to the buffet at another hotel instead if we are not staying there?

You certainly can!
