Ding trouble!

I have tried to install ding multiple times. It goes through the screen that says to give your ID #, then click next. Then it stays on that same screen, and has the little hourglass icon for the arrow. That is all it does. it stays like that for hours, until I give up and shut dow the computer. What can I do? I really would love to get Dinged with a great airfare!!! Please help!!! I know next to nothing about computers, so I am totally lost on what to do to fix this!!! TIA!!!!

I have the same problem and have tried numerous times to down load Ding. The hourglass just sits there. I'm also waiting anxiously for November dates to show up. I'll need 7 round trip tickets, leaving Nov. 5th and returning Nov. 12th. Thought for sure Nov. would be there by June 1st.

I do have Norton and MaAfee security programs on my computer. They are most likely stopping Ding but I'm not computer literate enough to figure out how to override them.

Would it be your connection speed? It looks like if it was your virus program it would give you some kind of message telling you why it stopped it.It sounds almost like your connection is taking it a long time to download? I don't know, just a thought?

I'm having a totally different problem with it. It downloaded fine, but when I get a "Ding" the screen won't let me click to see the specials! None of the links on the Ding screen work! I'm thinking it might have something to do with Pop-Ups, but I"m not sure and can't get it fixed.

I have a very fast computer. I am on a cable line, so I rarely have more than a 20 second wait for things to download. I assume that it is due to a firewall or something, but I don't know how to get around it.

I believe you have to diable your firewall to get it to download. I remember seeing soemthing about that when I was having a problem. However, it is loaded on my computer at home so I can't check for you right now. If you look in the DING FAQ on the SW website, it should mention the firewall problem.

I do have a brother living close by that I can call on. If it can be loaded onto my computer, he should be able to do it.

I'll be flying round trip from BWI to MCO and there were some petty good $79 fun fare rates each way with non-stop flights. They are not Ding rates but they look pretty good. The times for the flights are also perfect for my group, four adults and three children. You don't want to change flights with a 3, 5, and 6 year old. It makes the flight too long.

I check every day to see if November rates are posted yet. My fear is the rates will be much higher because of the higher fuel costs. We are flying down Nov. 5th and returning Nov. 12th. The already posted rates for other airlines are about twice as much and more than Southwest's prices.

We are combining a four night Disney Wonder Cruise with two nights at the ASM hotel in Disney World. Since it's my treat for the family (DiszyGram), I'm trying to save on something. Don't want to stand on the roadside with a "will work for money" sign.

I have a firewall and it installs fine. I dunno what it could be.

Does the little wing icon show up at all in the bottom right corner???

The program is 4MB so be sure that you have enough space on harddrive for it.
