DING! for BUF to MCO

Just wanted to let everyone know that there is a Ding going on from Sept 1- Oct 31 for Buf to MCO and MCO to BUF for $94 each way.

Technically this is the highest Ding! I've seen for this flight Buff - Orl, since I've been watching them from the beginning of this summer! Drats! But I wonder if that means they'll go down?

AirTran has a WebSale right now for $59/way for Sept - Nov 9 I believe. (US$623.20 for 4)

I'm still hoping SW will come down in price...another lower Ding! perhaps? They have better flight times for us and N/S flights. Although unfortunately on our flight home date the N/S flight is already booked for lowest fare. I guess the chance you take waiting on flights.

It is a service SWA offers. You download their freeware and then they send you special notices via the Ding! icon on your desktop - you click and then see if there is a fare you are interested in. Some of the Ding! fares have been better than the advertised fares. I have downloaded it as I figure it can't hurt! HTH

We went ahead and booked it. We already had a flight there, which we had booked at $49 but we still needed a return home. I don't want to take the chance that it doesn't get any lower (due to High fuel charges) and if it goes lower I'll just get a credit that I can use next year. The way I look at it, for N/S, that doesn't leave at some horrible time in the morning, it's a whole lot better then paying to fly out of Toronto.

Looks like you only needed to wait a few days. I hope you call SWA back to see about getting your flight for the new rate @ $49 for your return flight. I'm soooooooo happy to have gotten this deal

We did get a credit, we missed getting our money back by 2hrs but it doesn't bother me since we have a least two more trips planned within the year.

Can someone please explain the "missed getting the money back by 2 hours". I assume that if you re-book the exact same flights for a lower price you can get $ put back on your credit card.

Not sure exactly about the 2 hr thing - I'm assuming though that if you make the adjustment within a certain time frame your money is creditrd back to your credit card. However I know that SWA will still credit you the difference in flights but it is in the form of a credit towards another ticket. Some have had luck calling customer service and getting the credit indeed put back onto their credit card but I'm unclear if perhaps they were doing it in the time frame allowed?

When changing my flight, I was told by the SW girl that if I had called back 2hrs earlier I would have received a credit to my credit card instead of a SW credit. I didn't even know that, but it didn't really make a difference. So, what I understand that if you make a change to your reservation within 24hrs of booking it you can get your money back. Hope that helps!!!!
