Diney Visa rewards card bonus points

Hi! Last year when I went to Disney I signed up for a Disney rewards card - and got the $200 sign up bonus! Well we have started saving for our next trip and I was hoping to rack up some points on that credit card.

Here is my question - I used to get bonus points promotion offers - but haven't seen one in a long time. Does anyone know if they still offer these? The last one I used was 3x the normal bonus points on all purchases - but that was last year at this time

I think the last one I got was last fall. No idea if they still do them or not.

I have had our card for about three years now and only had 4x points one time the first year and that was it. I am bummed because I thought for sure they would offer something like that every year with the economy. I think they do that just to get you to use the card.

We've had our DRV for a year and a half and have never gotten any extra points offers.
A few months back there was a $300 cash back when you sign up for the Chase Freedom card. I have been using that card for about 3 months and have already racked up almost as many as I did in the first year of using the DRV.

I too have stopped using my Disney Visa in favor of my Chase Freedom card. Better rewards. For me, ~1.5% back in cash (Chase Freedom) vs. 1% back in Disney Gift Cards (Disney Visa).

I dumped my Disney card too and now use the Capital One card that gets me 2% back on everything and can be spent for any vacation expense.

I've only been offered extra points once since I became a card member in 2008. I hadn't used my card in over a year and got the offer. Started using it again for a bit and haven't gotten another offer. We now switch between Discover and Chase Freedom depending on what we are buying and what's offered at 5% cash back.

We only got the offer once and the amount needed to begin the extra points was so laughable and limited to certain things it went right into the trash

Thanks everyone!!! I only used the card every once in a while... think that unless I get a really great offer - I am going to search for a new card!

It is a good card to have on hand just for Disney trips because you do get 10% off at World of Disney, a free 5x7 photo at Epcot plus other things. That is what we mainly use it for also.

Good point!!! I will make sure I don't cancel it - I LOVED the free 5x7 I got on our last trip.. That picture was the one we ended up using for our Christmas card this year

It is 10% at the World of Disney Store, not Disney World.
