Dine with Shamu?

We went here back in Nov 07 it was fantastic we loved it. The seating was excellent, there was not a bad seat there. There was lots of good food to choose from and the staff were lovely. We will be booking again for our next trip :)

Great post! :thumbsup2 How long would it hold the interest of a 5 year old? I'm sure that my DD8 would enjoy it but not certain if the educational discussion is worth all that sitting for DD5. Were there many young children enjoying it as much as you?
It's not a formal educational discussion - just a Q&A session. Plus you can go back and forth as much as you want to the buffet, and you can leave whenever you want or need to. The kids I saw there looked like they were having a great time.

we went with 4 year old twins..the food was ok..desserts were better..he doesnt really come out of the water all that much..i think they had him come up like 3 times...the rest of the time hes just swimming around and its hard to see where he is cuz your at the same level as the water..if that makes sense? wouldnt do it again..did get to speak w/the trainers. they come around and answer q's so that was cool..do it to do once i guess:confused3

We did this recently and had a great table with one of the whales rightin front of us! Sadly we did the last one of the day and it was too dark to get good photos. Here is a link to my report: http://bit.ly/RUNuj

Book early to get the best table (we actually had someone try to steal ours but we quickly drove them off). The food was better than I thought it would be.

inkkognito - Thanks for the link to your review and photos. :thumbsup2

This was a "maybe" thing for me, but is now on my list of things to do next year. :goodvibes

We did it with our kids (9, 7, & 2) & grandma. The staff directed us to our table so no problems there...poolside. There were empty tables I noticed; not a totally sold out dinner. The baked chicken not so good, but loved the salad, the dijon mustard chicken, the pastas, & the kids loved the mac n cheese, the penne pasta with marinara & meatballs. So many choices we had to go back for a 2nd plate. The desserts were yummy too, although we have the shamu shaped chocolate w/strawberries in the trip rpt above. Waitress was great & even gave our kids some free arcade game card passes. Shamu (or Tillika at Seaworld Orlando) did jump several times and did tricks on all sides of the pool so everyone got a good view of something. We enjoyed it very much and would do it again.

Glad you enjoyed it! I wish I could have gotten pristine photos of the buffet, the people attacked it like a swarm of locusts. Oh well, you still get some idea of what it looks like. I just got my dessert at the same time as dinner so I wouldn't have to get up again and miss any Shamu antics. That darned dinner is what got me hooked on Bud Lime, since that was one of the included beverages.
