Hi, I booked Dine with Shamu for our April Trip. Just wondering if anyone has pictures of the dine with shamu? I would love to hear more about it, thanks!

Sorry, no info here, but I'm also curious to hear about this and to see pics. :goodvibes

I would love to see some also. We are thinking about doing this next time we go.

Sorry I don't have any pics, but I will tell you what my neighbor told me about the dinner. We are going in November and I was very anxious to hear about their experience. They got back home this past Friday. She quite frankly said she wouldn't do it again and wished she had not done it this time. It was very costly and the food was so-so. Apparently you don't get much Shamu time, a few swim bys with a wave of the flipper. She summised it has to do with sitting so close to the pool and splashing. Her 12 and 7 yo were disappointed with the lack of interaction. She recommends saving your money and doing an extra Disney character meal. I am not booking.

NOW, having said that, my best friend told me just last night that a lady she works with did the dolphin experience and said IT was fantastic. Go figure.

All I have to say is "Wow" and I'm glad we have booked to dine with Shamu!

For details have a look in the trip report in my siggie - it is the instalment titled "An Unusual Dinner Date".

We thought Dine with Shamu was great and would definately do it again :thumbsup2

It's not much more expensive than dinner at a good restaraunt and when else do you get to be so close to these amazing animals?

We just got back last night and we had reservations for Dine with Shamu at Seaworld. The dinner was good I thought, DH didn't care for it much and "expected" much better food for the $$$. But I thought it was very good and my kids were SO excited. It was nice to see up close the interactions between Shamu and the trainers and Shamu even kind of swims close to the tables and opens his mouth so my kids said "Oh look he is happy to see us!!" Lol...
Anyway, WWYD in this situation, at the end of the meal, the waiter approached our table and put a plastic tray on the table and says "This is my tip tray so you can leave me a tip" we were shocked that he said anything at all!!! OF course we always leave a tip!!DH was a bit taken aback by it, we did leave a tip but has anyone encountered a situation like that? OF course, our initial shock is over and we are giggling about it now, but geez, I never expected a waiter to ASK for a tip!!!

One other thing, we had a poolside table but there were people that had a table next to us and would stand up and move in front of our table so WE couldn't see. DH had to politely say "There is a little boy here who would like to see also."
