I am trying to make a reservation for this 180 days out and am having so much trouble. You have to call in and the cast member just tells me it shows that it is not available to book. It's not full, but not yet open for bookings. I had him check the week prior as well and it was showing the same thing. We are supposed to be able to book this 180 days out, anyone have issues like this before and was successful at booking it?

I've had the same problem. Tried to book this for our trip in Jan/19. Been doing so once every two weeks since our 180 day window with no luck so far. This is the one ADR that I am looking forward to, hopefully the bookings open soon.

Good luck! I have booked this twice, once right after they started this, and a year or two afterwards. First time one of the specialist was actually the guy who curated the animals when AK and the resort was built. The other specialist was one of his managers. It was a truly wonderful 2 plus hours. Sanaa is one of our favorites. It was a win win.

I've done it 3 times and loved it each time. However, booking it has always been a pain for me too. Sometimes I call and the CM doesn't know anything about it.

I figured out why it was showing that it cannot be booked. The minimum age is 8 and one of the kids is 7 years old. Had to speak to about 6 cast members before someone could tell me why it couldn't be booked.

Is this one that you pay for at the time of booking? I'm thinking this would be something amazing to do for my birthday trip this summer!

Yes you pay at time of booking now. When it first started, you didn’t pre-pay and I was at a lunch where 14 people had reserved but only 4 showed up. They were very unhappy did it was mentioned that they should make people pre-pay (especially since one participant had a hard time getting reservations because it put them over capacity). Shortly thereafter they did make people pre-pay.

Ok. Good to know. When I looked at it on the website yesterday it did not indicate that. I will plan accordingly when my 180 days comes.

What is it called ? Is it under dining reservations? I’ve never heard of? My daughter wants to be a zoologist and would love this
