Dine w/ Shamu. Why 1 hr prior??

I just made dine w/ Shamu reservations (yipee!). Reading the fine print it says: Present this Reservation Confirmation voucher and a Photo ID at our Dining Reservations Counter just inside the main entrance on your right no later than 1 hour before your scheduled show time.

Question...can I do this as we enter the park that day? Or does it have to be right before the dinner? I have 7:15 reservations.

Oh...another question, we never have gotten to see the last Shamu show at night..the one with the fireworks. Do they do this at SW San Diego, anyone know?? I'm hoping we can catch that after dinner.

Yes, you can check in as you enter the park. We did.

We just did this tonight, we had reservations for the 2nd seating, we were to be at the entrance where you have dinner at 6:15 p.m. for the 6:30 dinner.

Ohhh! How was it?? I had to change our Shamu reservations. I originally wanted to be there on 8/26, but Ashlee Simpson is giving a concert there that night and I just figured the park would be extra crowded so I changed it to the 25th. When I called the girl on the phone said "ohhh..you had excellent seats" She moved us and said we still have very good seats but I guess there's some tables that are the best to have. ?? Oh well!

Please help! We would like to do the dinner with Shamu.............where can I make reservations? We are going in Dec, is it too soon to make them? Any seating requests that I shoudl make? What's it like for those who have been before?! Food and show!

To find out how to make reservations go to the official Sea World site. This is the site I expect there will be directions there. That's how we first found out about the dinner.
I don't think it is too soon to make the reservations. I believe you can make them 6 months in advance. I could be wrong. Seating is done completely by when you reserve. The earlier you reserve the better seating you get.
The food is excellent, the best food we've ever had in a theme park. The show is very interesting-they have the whales doing tricks right next to you and the trainers tell you about working with them.
