Dinasour too scary for 6 almost 7 year old ?

:earsboy: It might be okay but if the kid is like a person who gets scared easily then no, but if not yes

My ds now almost 9 goes back and forth on all the rides every trip. When he was just 5 he rode everything ---loved TOT and Dinosaur. That was the first scarier version. He teased his sister who was 18 and didn't care for the ride. At 6 TOT was out, Dinosaur was 1x not again. At 7 they had toned down dinosaur was back on the favorites again. We leave noxt week for his 9th birthday -- it'll be interesting to see if this is a "fearless year" or a "mellow year"

Last year our 6yo and I rode it first, to check whether it would be OK for Mom and his 9yo brother! Then we all went the second time. I knew the younger one would be OK because he's fearless.

The ride isn't really that bad. It's bumpy and pretty scary, but not unbearably so. The way you describe your boy I don't think he will have any problem.

Is dinosaur just a sensory overload then? I really didnt like TOT and im not a great fan of rollercoasters so I avoided dinosaur on my last trip, as someone warned me they were similar- Id love to go on though- if its just flashy lights and loud sounds, i can shut my eyes and block my ears! :o

The Dinosaur isn't anything like a coaster The Primeval Whirl is a coaster that spins. Do you have them mixed-up or whom ever told you might have confused the two rides.

I'm 20 years old and that ride just freaks me out. I can handle the Rock N Roller Coaster and those types of rides but the load bumpy ride of Dinosaur just doesn't do it for me. Its just really loud and all in the dark. From the first time I went on it when it was called Countdown to Extinction, I hated it then. They take your picture when you are face to face with the T-Rex towards the end of the ride. When you go in a car full of people who have no idea what is going to happen, the picture can be tons of fun. In my first pic, everyone in the car was freaking out, adults and children except my younger brother of course who was smiling away.
