when should I go may or october. want to go in october for mnsshp but want to go in may a week after i graduate instead of waiting for october. will may be less crowded or october and which month would be hotter? i'm use to some heat becuase i live in se texas so heat is ok just HATE heat and humidity.

May is hotter.

Both months are the same crowd wise.

The halloween party is lots of fun though.

Tough call :confused3

Just want to elaborate on Hockeymom's response.

It depends when in May/October you'll be going. Early October average temperatures are hotter than early May, but late May is warmer than late October. Mid-month averages are pretty similar.

i wish. this is a WELL DESERVED trip to myself for graduating college and i will have saved for 3 yrs by the time i go. so i hope to have my half paid for and money to play with when i go.

Love October for MNSSHP and the Food and Wine fest at Epcot. On the other hand May is the Flower and Garden fest at Epcot. Both Fests have concerts which is a nice addition to a vaccation.

We have frequently gone in May and love it. MNSSH sounds like alot of fun too. We have never done that. We did take our children out of school in May with no problems, but I always hesitated to take them out in October due to them just getting back.

October sounds like alot of fun, but I would go with May for two reasons 1. its hard to be patient and wait, and 2. do you know what you will be doing in October? Will you have started a job where you might have a difficult time taking time off or even if you can take off it might be without pay?

If the taking time off from work is no problem then I would lean towards Oct plus isn't the food and wine festival going on then?

We usually go in late Oct for MNSSHP and we love, love, love that time of year to go. We went early May this year due to time off limitations and it was WAY to hot for me and I didn't get MNSSHP either.

The heat and humidity shouldn't bother you. I grew up in Humble, TX (NE of Houston) and we used to go to FL once or twice a year to Sanibel Island. We've gone at the end of December and over Spring Break. Neither time was that bad...the humidity is a bit worse than where I lived in TX, but we were also in Southern FL on the Gulf Coast. I don't remember Orlando being too bad at either of those times. Being from where you are, it shouldn't bother you a bit. Congratulations on the upcoming graduation. I just finished nursing school and although we weren't able to go anywhere this year (due to finances from me not working through school), we are planning a "belated graduation" trip next May 2006 (the first week).
