Dilemma which hotel?

Got a bit of a dilemma, we go back to Disney in October to make use of our annual passes combining this trip with a break at Center parcs in France.

Plan
Holiday Inn (booked) ~ Saturday 21st to Monday 23rd October 170 euros (£121)
Center parcs (booked) Monday 23rd October to Friday 27th October
?????? ~ Friday 27th October to Sunday 29th October

Now I should have booked the holiday Inn at the same time I booked the first weekend but I didn't and now the price has gone up to 267 euros (£190) for the two nights this is where I need opinions - do we go back to the Holiday Inn or stay at one of the following?

Santa Fe £192
Cheyenne £227
Dream castle £225

These are the best prices I can find for the cheaper hotels and we are not bothered about staying off site a bit as we had no problem with the shuttle busses last time. Do we stay at a themed basic Disney hotel or the dream castle? We have two children who prefer bunk beds rather than an extra double not sure if the Santa fee has these?

Any advice gratefully received from anyone who has stayed in these hotels

Thanks
Liz

Annoying when prices change whilst your planning :furious:

There are no bunk beds in the Santa Fe.

If you have not stayed in the Cheyenne before its a great experience, how old are your kids?

If they would appreciate the themeing the Cheyenne is the winner.

The dreamcastle sounds like a nice hotel, I think the breakfast is supposed to be one of the best in the whole resort, this would be my 2nd choice.

As you have been in the Holiday Inn before, I personaly would try another hotel for a bit of fun.

we always go to the cheyenne now...........definately my prefered hotel for price/comfort.

go for it cowgirl........er :thumbsup2

Based on the price difference and also because I've been to HI it would be Cheyenne for me :thumbsup2

There are no bunk beds in the Santa Fe.

Just in case you're interested in the Santa Fe for the price, they do have some rooms with bunk beds, which must be requested when you book.

Hi, we have 2 kids who love the explorers hotel. They love the themed pool and play areas.

We always book through allrez.com which comes out that weekend at £69 per night including breakfast. You can pay slightly more for a smaller adjoining room with bunkbeds which our kids love.

Hope this helps

I would try the Cheyenne if you haven't been before as staying onsite is always great.

I would go with the cheyenne, I think it looks great for children.

Oh dear.... explorers is really cheap on that site thanks Jackie.
Looks a lovely hotel as well especially for the price....have to have a think again.... had sort of thought the cheyenne but facilities look better at explorers will have to go and re read the descriptions..

Thanks everyone

Hi Liz

Sorry to add to your confusion but I would definately go for the Cheyene. I haven't stayed there but it looks great fun, especially for the kids!
The Explorer's and the other off site hotels sound lovely but I personally don't think you can beat being on site. :wizard:
You will still enjoy your stay though wherever you decide.

M y husband and i have just returned from a trip staying at the Cheyenne. we cant wait to go back next year and stay there with kids we have stayed at Santa Fe, Newport Bay and cheyenne and intend reurnig to Cheyenne.

We have stayed at the Explorers three times and I always recommend it as being clean and comfortable. However we only stay there because there are 5 of us ~ so if I was you I would go for the Cheyenne. We had a good look round it last month and the theming is brilliant. I'm sure it must be really fantastic for kids and although it's really easy to get to/from the off-site hotels I think I would rather be onsite if I had the choice. :)

Well it was a decision between the Cheyenne and Explorers and the deciding factor was the price.
So we have booked explorers (which actually looks really nice and has a pool) over the Cheyenne as we got two night’s b&b for £140 the Cheyenne was £227 so we went with the cheaper option. We showed the children and they are really excited about staying there with the “explorers” theme.
Glad we have made the decision and it’s all booked now!

Thanks for all the opinions and we will stay at the Cheyenne one day!
