Dilemma...Garden Grill or Coral Reef?

We currently have the Monday ADRs of our trip as follows: Coral Reef lunch at 11:10 a.m. and Akershus dinner at 6:30.

Given my 3 y.o. DS's current fascination w/ Chip and Dale I'm thinking of changing the day to Akershus breakfast at 8:05 and Garden Grill dinner at 4:05.

Only problem is that I can't make an online ressie for a party of 7 at GG online. (there is availability for 5 +2, but not for a total of 7.) I'm assuming I could work that out w/ dining over the phone, right?

My kids are 9, 5, and 3, and in addition to DH and me, we will have one set of grandparents with us, too.

Thoughts? Is GG good enough to rearrange the whole day for it? Or should I leave well enough alone? Is it fairly easy to get to Epcot for an early ADR? How long would Akershus take at breakfast? We've got to have time to make the break for Soarin'. TIA for any advice.

I ould try to make ths changes. I think your little boy would have lots of fun at Garden Grill. Lately people have been complaining alot about Coral reef plus what if you are seated far from the tank... would your kids be desapointed. I know my girls were sooo dissapointed that they couldn't eat next to the tank and I didn't want them to go near as I didn't want them to disturb the people eating there.

Akershus will take you at least an hour then you will have to walk back to land pavillion which would take my girls and I another 15 minutes. FYI at 11 am back in May we were getting fast pass for soaring for 6pm.


I would make the 2 reservations for garden Grill (you will have to make each reservation under different names). If I remember correctly it's only tables for 6 max therefor you will need 2 tables regardless. Arrive early for your reservations and ask if you could be seated together or near one other. They will most often accommodate you.
