Dilemma about when to go now. Any advice?

So since I got home last July I had planned on a late August 2020 trip and a mid-ish November 2020 trip.

I have my airline booked for August 24-29 but have not booked the vacation package yet.

Flights for the November trip come out in a couple weeks.

I was not all that concerned about the August trip until a few days ago when things started to look a bit more uncertain as to when crowds can gather.
It seems like many summer festivals/concerts in my area are being cancelled and these are things in late July/early August.
Also until a couple days ago it seemed like sports events like the NFL had confidences that stadiums could be packed by the first scheduled game and now it seems a bit more iffy and that's not til the first week in September.

So I've been toying with changing my August 24-29 trip to September 25-28 (it would be a short trip because my sister is a teacher but she happens to have Monday the 28th off so we could go for the weekend and we are not opposed to fast pace trips as we already tend to do them that way the majority of the time).

But now I'm also concerned that maybe even that trip won't/shouldn't happen but I need to decide before the November flights come out so I know if I'm booking using credit from the other flight or paying out right.

The November trip is November 19-23. (My sister is taking a couple days off work for this one which is why the other trip had to be during a time she already had off)

I absolutely fully intend to go on that trip!

The question really is do I stick with August and November, switch to September and November, or scrap the first trip altogether and just go in November?

We’re scheduled for a mid-August visit now and are leaning toward canceling it. Our last trip was in January. Epcot was crowded and there was a lot of construction taking place, so August seemed a good time to catch up with some of the planned new attractions. All of that is on hold now. We’re DVC, so we have a little time to decide without penalty. November would seem a bit safer to me, but everything seems to be changing so quickly. It is a difficult time to be making plans. Good luck with your decision!

I'm rescheduling my June 2020 trip as far out as the airlines will allow. My first choice would be July 2021. If I had to I would be willing to go April 2021. There's a possibility of a second wave. For me, as an asthmatic, I cannot afford to take any risk of getting the virus because it would be life or death for me.

If I were you, I would forget about August.

If it were me, I would use the August trip credits to book the November flight. At least the odds for then are good and you won't get stuck with flight credits. This way you're more free to make a spontaneous August or Sept trip after seeing how things pan out. I'd also wait to buy tickets.
Our Disney cruise for March was cancelled and we have another booked for next Feb and I'm hoping that works out but so much can change. The final payment due date is late October and I hope things feel more normal by then but right now I'm not confident in making any rigid plans.

Ok. We are now leaning towards doing only the the November trip.
It sucks because we are used to going a couple of times a year and the stretch between the last trip and next trip was already over a year and now it looks like it will be even longer (For me WDW helps to relieve stress of the real world. Like I save up and go there instead of getting massages or buying the latest greatest thing on the market. For me those things bring "happiness" but Disney brings "joy" which in my book is more impactful and longer lasting.)

I have a mid to late August trip scheduled and I still think theres a very reasonable chance it will happen. I am sure there will be ample changes and restrictions, but as of today I see nothing to suggest the Parks will be closed in August.

That being said I recommend keeping travel plans as is for now. August is a great time to go, and until we hear something I see no reason to make changes.

I think it's twofold (outside issues of vulnerability). Will it be possible to visit the parks? Will you be satisfied?

Some people don't want to risk that kind of money for an uncertain experience and would rather wait.

Other people are excited just to enjoy WDW sunshine and happiness, as long as there's some function. Different strokes. Who knows? There may be other positives in that case like lower crowds, alternate entertainment, unique, etc.

I’m holding on to an end of August trip...I actually just extended it. I will only cancel if they alter things to make it feel un-Disney and/ or take away fireworks, parades, character experiences. I’m hopeful that by that time panic will diminish and life will be returning to normal.

We are booked for December. Really praying that covid will be under control and us/can border is back open. will really miss my American friends if we cant go this year
