dilema over kidani or jambo

Don't know what to do here. Do I take a one bedroom in Jambo (going with two of my cousins for three nights in November), for the location of being in the main Lodge, or do I choose Kidani for the second bathroom?

Do I need to be closer to the lodge (having Breakfast in Boma and dinner at Jiko and are the savannah views "better" here), or is it better to have the Kidani location for proximity to Sanaa (for lunch and the possibility that the Savannah view is better here)? Also, what floor is the best to request?

If I were doing it I would pick Kidani because it's the new one and the rooms are bigger. The new pool area looks like more fun. Since you plan to eat in both places there are advantages to both buildings. You have three adults and the Kidani offers the sleeper chair except in the values, and the pull out sofa so you all get a separate sleeping spot. An extra bath will be handy too. You might enjoy the extra walking if you plan to really take advantage of Boma's!

Both Jambo (except "value" rooms) and Kidani have the pull out sleeper chair. Savanna view should be comparable regardless of whether you do Jambo or Kidani. If Kidani, you will likely have long walk to anything Jambo such as Mara, Boma and Jikos. Note walk could actually be a mile from Kidani room to Boma if you end up with one of the rooms in the end of the north wing at Kidani.

Jambo has only 5th floor (6th for concierge), Kidani it is your choice, some like lower floor for direct sight to animals, some like higher for better panoramic view. Kidani 1BR is about 100 sq ft larger than Jambo. It will also have separate shower and tub (Jambo just has combined) in the main bath. Still unknowns are what the pool or the new restaurant will actually be like at Kidani. Pool area at Jambo is really nice and restaruants are good.

Remember you can always take the bus between the two. You do not have to walk. I think the pool looks great at Kidani, the rooms are bigger, and you can have breakfast in your room! My vote is Kidani
