I would like to have a digital weather station for my Christmas gift. Not a 3 day minimal items, something affordable but, 5 day, wind, outdoor temp, humidity, maybe storm warning....run from PC. I saw one at Bed Bath and Beyond, but not sure it will offer bells and whistles for the $59 price tag.
I guess I should just subscribe to the consumer report as I was also considering a 7 in digital portable TV for when the power goes off. I know some have short battery life, we do have a generator, but I want this for the short term, get quick information how long power will be affected.
Something I can flip on quick. We are rual NE Pocono area so I know channels will be limited, but at least the two local would be OK.Guess I need to have a better antena then what is on the unit.
I have tried to program my digital channel search on the house TV and get only one channel PBS 1, and 2.
I saw some on Amazon, free shipping, but would rather find something I can play with hands on to check it out first for Santa.
