You all inspired me, so I downloaded a free kit and used powerpoint to put this together.
It's my first.
It's not perfect.
But I wanted to play around before I invested too much time and money into it!

I would add something to your page, even if it is just journalling. It just needs something so it doesn't appear to be a background page.

Lucky you to go parasailing, it looks like so much fun but since I am afraid of heights and get dizzy I won't be going anytime soon.

I think you did a great first page. Many scrappers start with powerpoint and then move on to paint shop pro or a photoshop program.

There are hundreds of freebies out there so keep it up and have fun.

I like that so much better as it is now telling the whole story.

great job :thumbsup2

I have been taking online classes with Jessica Sprague, she can be found in Creating Keepsakes. Check out her website www.jessicasprague.com and sign up for her Blog newsletter http://spraguelab.squarespace.com she sends out a newsletter on Friday's called Photoshop Friday with a lesson. I think she is terrific, I'm currently in her second class.

So sweet! That just came out great. What kind of class did you say you were taking??

This is the latest page I did in Jessica's class (Now we're Runnin)

Cindy: Thanks for the tip. I've wanting to take a few classes. I'll check it out. They keep wanting me to take classes for work, sooo much less interesting. LOL

Kelly: Thanks! I was inspired today! If I could only get rid of my toothache, I'd really be scrapping.
I did scraplift someone's paper scrapepage, but of course I've long forgotten from where. I'm just terrible at that. But THANKS for the great idea!

Here we go!

Stenogoddess - love the Magic layout, I have some of the same pics, just wasn't sure what to do with them.

Good luck with the class. What I really like about Jessica is that once you sign up and receive the download for the class, they never expire and you can work at your own pace. Also, there is a message board for the classmates, when I didn't understand a task I received plenty of help.

Love the Cruise layout, your rolling now..

I haven't shared any layouts in so long because i havent done any. Instead I have been prepping for my upcoming trip by creating quickpages for when I return :goodvibes Many times I see a layout i like and start to scraplift it then tweek it to my style. Scraplifting is a huge compliment in the scrap world.

Hi all!
I've been working on something a little different for me..............Sepia!

I've been wondering............... Does everyone work on 12x12?
I scrap 8 1/2x11 to print as photobooks. I use Shutterfly but have been wondering if other companies are as good?

GORGEOUS LAYOUTS! VERY VERY NICE!

Hey y'all!

I was working on this page tonight just to see what I could do. This is what I came up with. I think it's kinda cute, but I have no idea what to do with it. I can't decide to add more pictures of that parasailing day, use it for journaling or .....

I just used all my creative juices! Does anyone have any ideas to spare?

IT LOOKS GREAT.... ESPECIALLY AFTER YOU ADDED SOME MORE IN!

GREAT FIRST TIME! I THINK YOU'RE ON YOUR WAY~!

I may have to snag a few of those embellishment ideas ;)

Thanks :) To get the embellishments, I scanned a sticker page that I bought at WDW. Though overall, I don't use that many embellishments. I like my pages to be more picture-heavy.

So smart! I can't believe that never occured to me. LOL

My latest LO. Don't ya know my water proof camera busted. There's an argument for always take both I guess.

Kelly: I used a couple different ones. The tan paper was from scrapprincess.com the Festival kit (freebie), then I added a grunge overlay. The wavey paper is from the Destinations kit (scrapgirls), but I kept dorking with it until it looks like it does now. I have no idea what all I did there!

But the layout itself with the frames is called Pic-a-Penty and the seaweed and letters are SailsWhales, both from scrapgirls.com. The font was a free download from Creative Keepsakes. It's the Becky font.

I'll tell you the best thing I've found that I used on this LO though is from scrapgirls and it's either an action or a style, still not sure what the difference is, but it's called Pictures that Pop. It was really, really overcast that day and so my photos were dark. I used that and now they look great! I know I can slide the sliders around myself, but I'm stil new enough that I can't always figure out how to get what I want. The pictures that pop thing, I really can't say enough about it.

Thanks for the info, I may have to take a look at some of those kits.
