I don't have the time (or the energy to fight my 2 year old away from my materials) to old school scrapbook anymore. Does anyone digital scrapbook? Do you have it printed and if so where for great quality and good price? Where is a good place to get kits? Is it feasible to attempt to make your own kits or does it take major HTML knowledge? I have Photoshop Elements and MyMemories Suite already.

TIA!

I have used smilebox. It's great, you should check it out! It isn't expensive, I think you can design it for free and then pay if you want to print.

Also, you can create a scrapbook on sites like shutterfly and they will create a book for you. They have specials all of the time. I have ordered several things from them and have been very happy with everything. For the price, especially when they have specials, you really can't beat Shutterfly!

I have also used Mixbooks and Picaboo. I like them both. I like Picaboo because you can put anything for the background (they also have a huge online place where you can get more.) It is more expensive and sometimes my pictures/pages have been a little dark.

I used Mixbook last year and that turned out nice too - it was just more limited with backgrounds, but you can change their picture sizes & locations to fit on your page. You don't have to stay with their standard set-up. I had a groupon so I tried it and it came out nice.

I Love digital scrapbooking. Gave up the paper stuff years ago. I use creative memories software, but print through mypictales.com. I can print 12 x 12 single page prints for a buck a piece. There are instructions on their website to upload your whole page you have created to get single page prints. It's the best price I've found. It isn't a photo type print, like you get other places, but it's high quality heavy cardstock. You can print 12 x 12 at Costco too for $3 a page. Only places I have found for decent single page prints at that size.

I have a $20 promo card I received for a picture purchase. It says it can't be used with any other offers. Does that mean no coupon codes? It seems weird that you can stack codes, but not be able to use a promo card.

I've used My Memories Suite for quite some time and have been quite satisfied with them. I download my own digital scrapbooking through the internet and often find them free online. Once I've created a page, I upload as a JPEG file (right through the My Memories Suite) to Shutterfly on a "blank page" and then print from Shutterfly as a 12x12 album. I've created at least 5 different Disney albums this way and I've been very satisfied with the quality. I average at least 70 pages per album and the final ends up costing me probably around $70 with coupons and discounts which I don't think is all that much, relatively speaking :)

Hope this helps,
Heather

You could start at Shutterfly.... a bit easier with tons of great layouts, backgrounds, ect.... I have tried a ton of different companies, shutterfly has the best quality(IMO) and great customer service. They also have awesome sale. I work on my projects and then wait for a sale to order.

Subbing! I've been wanting to look into this. I'm never going to have time to scrapbook again. Plus, I hate doing duplicates for all three kids.

I don't know if this is considered digital scrapbooking... but I use Mixbook.com all the time.
Just like you I don't have time/energy to do real scrapbooking anymore. Mixbook I think is a little more expensive than blurb or shutterfly type but they have TONS more "stickers", backgrounds, etc. And you can do a lot more editing than blurb/shutterfly without any additional software (photoshop, etc.).
Also you can purchase some digital stickers and backgrounds as well from somewhere else and upload it for your book I think (I've never done this).
But yeah, I do mixbook all the time now.
Good luck! I'm already about 3 years behind (my DD is 3yo... :lmao: )

Interesting! Im a Creative Memories girl but my dealer and former friend had a failing out, leaving me all this stuff sitting here. I was just thinking of going digital!

I love their software! I don't use them for books or prints but their software is great. And you can get content from other sources and use it on the pages. Love it! Plus you can just order online and download it. No shipping or having to wait on a consultant.

What is the name of the software? I have Mac and am not sure they offer a Mac option.

I use Photoshop Elements. :thumbsup2 Anyone have a good source for free kits/papers/elements? Back in the day, there was a blog (her name was ikea goddess) that used to post free downloads from around the web daily. Is there a similar site these days? --Katie

I use Winkflash. Tried shutterfly but sis doesn't like it.

I wait for the flat rate book sale and then order the books (flat rate price which is the whatever the regular price is for the size of the album). There are cute pages/different layouts you can use. Prints out as photo pages (not cardstock) but very cute!

Does anyone have a printer that does the 12x12 pages? I wonder how you like it and the costs of ink and such...

I have used shutterfly..love the customer service, books have come out really nice. I am just thiking about a printer now because when pages are so much extra...it seems to add up quickly. 20 pages is nothing.

I print 12 x 12 through mypictales.com. It costs a dollar a page to print. Can't buy the paper for that! Their customer service is awesome too.

OP here with another question. Can you attach items to picture books/digital scrapbooks like traditional scrapbooks?
