I have never done any type of scrap booking before, but doing it digitally interests me. I don't want to invest a lot of money though. And, I would prefer something with a VERY easy learning curve since I'm easily distracted. Any suggestions on programs that might work for me?

Easy learning curve -- try Creative Memories StoryBook Creator Plus. There are TONS of awesome digi-scrapping freebies out there, so if you are dedicated to keeping it cheap, those will work for you. I collect freebies and paid digital kits and I still spend less on digi-scrapping than I ever did on traditional. Even with CM's software, you can order ooks anywhere. I usually use Shutterfly to print my books 'cuz they always seem to have the best deals.

You may want to ask this question over on the Scrapbooking board

I'm sure you'll get lots of great info over there too!

Thanks, I didn't know about that board.

Thanks, I'll google that and see what it's all about.

I have to second the creative memories software. It is super simple, and you can get a ton of free downloads. You can print 12 x 12 pages for a buck a piece at www.mypictales.com. I've recently discovered them and have been very happy with their quality. The next cheapest I've found is at costco, which is $3 per page. (plus you have to have a membership). I like to print my pages individually, rather than have them in books since I don't scrapbook chronologically. It's addictive, and much cheaper than doing it traditionally. Especially with the CM software, because you can change your embellishments, their texture, color, etc., and use them over and over again without really knowing it! It's great!

I started with Serif's Digital Scrapbook Artist, it was pretty easy to work with. I'd also like to offer you help if you want it later on. I just got started in this about a year and a half ago, and it was very difficult to get basic information, people didn't understand that I had NO idea about anything. So, if you need any help, have any questions, please feel free to PM me here!
Good luck with it, I started out with a curiosity and just fell in love with it, it's lots of fun!

Another option is Studio J software by Close To My Heart. There are lots of options to design pages using different paper packets and page templates. There is no charge to use the software, just for actually printing a page, which is shipped to you.
