digital picture frame

Hi, does any1 have a digital picture frame? Are they nice? I was thinking of getting a few people in my family them for x-mas but I dont know if it's worth the money. For those of you who have 1...do u use it? How exactly do they wrok? Do u have to leave your memory card in it or does it download the pics onto its memory? Do mostly all memory cards fit into picture frame or do I have to get a specific frame for each specific type of camera? Thanks

I have one on my desk at work. It isn't a name brand one. I love it! I just insert my camera's memory card and it displays a slide show of the pictures on it.

I am actually thinking of having my mom get digital frames for my kids this year so they can display the pictures they take.

It's really a cool gift, I think. Something people may not necessarily buy for themselves. Bought my mom and dad the Kodak Easy Share frame and I help them use it since they are too lazy to learn for themselves . I find the menu on that one a little bit of a pain, but once you're used to it, it's okay.

On that one, you don't have to leave your memory card in. You insert your card just download the pics you choose.

I would suggest going for a good brand and a larger size for better resolution, if possible.

We got one as a wedding gift. We took it out of the box last night because the gift giver is coming over today. Not something we use.

DH and I have one that our kids gave us two years ago for an anniversary present. The resolution on it isn't that great, but I think they have improved greatly since then. The one we have you can either download pictures onto it or use a memory card. We tend to only turn it on when we have company coming.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my digital picture frame. We bought an extra card and downloaded all the photos from our Hawaii trip. Need to update it with our last Disney trip.

FIL got me one for Christmas last year. Not something I wanted, not something I use. I gave it to my husband and said have fun.

Its on our front table with pix in it but I hardly ever look at it. I just kind of think they're a waste of money. I dunno, maybe if I had it on an office desk or something where I'd see it all the time and it would be close enough to see the pictures..........

bought one for my mom last year for mother's day/her birthday since I live in NY and she is in Texas.. we put our wedding photos and family photos on there.. she loves it! it's a great gift...

we are getting one for my husbands mom this christmas.

We got one for my Mom and loaded it with pix. I need to update it. She's a little nervous using it. I wish it were easier to use.

My husband bought me one and we have our wedding pictures on it. I love it. It's cool to look over and see all the pictures (even in the dark). It was easy to use, but took a bit of reading to get it how I wanted it. We have a Polaroid one.

I have a couple of these. You download the pix from the computer. On one of them I have pix of my DD from birth to about 5 or 6 years old. On the other one I have all of our vacation photos. DL, WDW, PA (Hershey Pk and Sesame Place), Mall of America, Vegas, etc. And they are nice, because they are compact enough for a purse and I ran into a friend from long ago at the mall and we had some nice catching up. Great gift in my opinion. I'm getting another one where I can insert my pix card into it and just view them from there.

If you actually use yours would you post what brand they are? Both the good ones and the bad ones so I know what to buy or not to buy. I was going to get a Pandigital but then I saw some bad reviews.

this is what I want for my BD next month ! I think it would be a great gift. I just googled it and pulled up lots of review sites, I am planning on a Pandigital. They even have some fancy ones now that can be updated wirelessly.
