We just bought a digital picture frame. HP df1010. Night before Thanksgiving, I had just enough time to use computer to put a bunch of past trip & family pictures onto an SD card.
While the frame was playing on Thanksgiving, I noticed the pictures were mostly in order, but not exactly.
I've read the manual. It wasn't in random mode since only a few were out of order. Or ones from the same day would be together, but not in order for the day.
Any idea how these frames sort? If its date / time taken, I think they would have been in perfect order. Some I accidentally moved to the card, and others I purposely copied to the card. And its possible I didn't get them all in the right order as I did it too. So maybe file creation date?
Any tips for making your digital fram pics stay in chronological order?
Maybe make copies of all the pics wanted & put into a folder & rename them all in order? Copy again all in order thus creating another new creation date in order?
Also, trips pics ended up mixed in with family pics even though I had them seperate on the SD card. I THOUGHT it would play all the trip pics in the folder, THEN play all the family pics from that folder. Nope.
So, do you use seperate cards for seperate trips?
We enjoyed having the frame play pics all day, but I was a bit annoyed each time someone asked about a pic, I had to figure out where & when it was since all the pics were jumbled.
