OK, last time (our first trip to WDW ever - Yay!) I took my laptop to upload my digi photos from my camera memory every night. I'd thought I'd watch DVDs on the plane and also email from the resort but never really did. I'm not looking forward to carrying it on the plane again just for picture storage but I do take a seriously humongous number of photos. What do you all use? Do you just buy tons of memory sticks?

Thanks!

my digital camera memory will hold about 300 pics but I still take my laptop and upload the pics daily to it.

I took about 925 pictures in 11 days last time. Our stay will be 2 days shorter this year but still, I am a phototakin' fool and love to have them. Also I've been reading about taking better pictures so I may actually take more this time. Hmmm.

we just take sticks .I was thinking of a storage device but I do VID on tape as well .If your lap has a burner I would take a couple of cd's and burn as well each day for $.07 you just never know.

We're staying 5 days and i'm hoping a 1 GIG, and 2 512 cards will be enough. I have a Digital Rebel so i'll have roughly 975 pictures available to take..i'm HOPING that will be enough ;)

We take our laptop and flash drive.
Each night DH downloads them, crops them and whatever else is needed and saves them to the flash drive.
That way they are ready to burn to a CD when we get home.

I have a portable storage unit. It takes memory cards and copies them directly to its hard drive without the use of a PC. Mine doubles as an external portable hard drive, an mp3 player, a radio, and a voice/radio recorder.

I have an 80GB hard drive that I installed in mine, but you can install any size hard drive because it takes a standard laptop hard drive.

What's great is that I can carry it in the parks with me and if I need to download the memory cards it'll do this in less than 5 minutes. So far, I only have 2 256mb CF cards that I just keep filling up, dumping in the unit, and erasing.

I purchased a Digimate II Plus with a 30GB hard drive for $99.

I purchased this portable storage unit since I could not find any kiosk that has the ability to download photos AND videos (Casio EX-S500 user here). For my upcoming Central Florida trip, the DII+ will be in the backpack for my WDW expendition, and staying either in the car or at the lodge for my expedition at BGT, SWO and Universal Studios.

I agree with the portable storage unit. I was so HAPPY that I got one for our last trip. A ton smaller than our laptop, and easily holds 10000 pics!!! so none get lost or erased!!!! And there are a TON of those to choose from!

:flower: Thanks for the excellent tips. I found the vosonic and also one called Flashpack

Miniviews - can I ask where you found your Digimate II Plus with a 30GB hard drive for $99?

I purchased the Digimate II Plus at mwave (website). It appears the 30GB option is not available but a 40GB option for $116 is. Checkout dpreview (website) storage & media forum for users' experience.
