We'll be taking the kids, DSs 10 & 8, to Disney World for the first time in September. On a "normal" vacation I usually take between 100-200 digital photos. I figure on a Disney World vacation I'll be taking between 800-1000 photos. My current storage media (SmartMedia) only allows me to take about 200 px. Are there places in any of the parks/resorts where I can get my photos put on a CD so I can clear them off the camera and start over? If so how much does it cost, where are they located, and how long does the service take??? Thanks for the help. :cool1:

There is a place that lets you put them on CD. I have read it on here. I want to say it is the Main Street Camera shop in the MK & it is around $15.

I just bought a 512 MB card for my camera to go along with my 2 128 MB & my measly 2 32 MB (that will take 3 pictures each I am sure).

I am leaving tomorrow & plan on viewing my pictures each night & deleting the bad ones-I can connect to the TV to look at them.

Oh & my 512, I got on Best Buy online, free shipping & I even got a $15 rebate so it came to $25 or $30 (I can't remember). I would have bought the 1 G but my camera won't take it, I don't think.

For less than $3.00, you can go to Wal-Mart on 192 and get them burned to a CS.

I don't know the particulars of your camera, or the size of your current media card, but you may be better off just buying another card.

I have a 5mp camera, with a 1gb SD card, which will store like 390 pics at the highest resolution, largest size. I was thinking about taking my laptop down to offload my pics when it is full, but I think I'll just grab another card instead. That way, I'll have a backup card in case mine ever quits on me, and I don't have to lug my laptop down, pay to have them put on CD, etc. Also, I'll use the extra card when I get back from vaca anyway.

So, it's up to you, but memory cards are pretty cheap nowadays, and I'd rather spend my money on that then pay $15 for them to burn the pics onto a 5 cent cd.

Just my thoughts.

I would second the suggestion to get a second card. My worst fear is to get to Disney and then encounter some kind of error with the card. Then I'm stuck without the ability to take pictures. I am sure you could purchase a card on sight at a premium but I would rather have a backup and extra storage capacity.
