Digital Library Books on the ipad with Overdrive- Please help

How do I get a digital book from a public library to my ipad?

I have the Overdrive app on my ipad. I have the book reserved and it is reay to check out. Once I check out, how do I get it on my ipad?

I use overdrive for my ipod. I use a computer intermediary: The way I do it is to checkout. Then click Download button. That imports it into Overdrive (I can play from overdrive). Then I connect my iPod and open iTunes. Open overdrive and click "Transfer" which transfers to my iPod.

I would imagine that if the overdrive app is on your iPad, you just have to click download after checkout. Then play from overdrive.

Overdrive is for Audio Books, are you looking for eBooks?

There's an app called Bluefire Reader - that's what I used to use..

There's also an app called Overdrive for the iPad that plays ebooks. I don't have a current library card which I need to use it but I was playing around with it last night and it's definitely an iPad app. Good luck figuring it out, OP!

The current overdrive app is not optimized for the iPad, but the bluefire app is. Both can be used to read books downloaded from libraries that work witin the overdirve system. -- Suzanne

okay - I just tried to get my book

I accidently requested the audio book and I meant to request the ebook. So, i did not try to download it.

There is a waitlist for the ebook i want. I have it reserved.
