We have a digital camera. A Sony that uses the memory stick. Does anyone know of any place that downloads your memory stick and then prints out your pictures at Disney or surrounding area? Just curious. I'm trying to figure out budget and film developing has come up on the boards before, but nothing for digital cameras.

Can someone out there help?

I'm not sure in Disney where you can have that done but if you go to walmart you can get them done 1 hour.

You'll have to look up the Walmart location though...I know it is in the area but you'd have to drive.

You can download your prints at the Kodak Pavailion near Journey to Your Imagination on to a CD. They charge by prints and not by megs... Last May, the CM told me she would put 40 prints onto a CD regardless of the size. However, I had SD (secure digital) memory and she did not have a card reader for that.

bunnyfoo can you remember what the cost was for this service?:D

Thanks.:D

Bunnyfoo,

That's in Epcot, correct? Thanks for the info. I have 2 memory sticks, but I know I'll take more pictures than that. That will make things a lot easier if I could go over to Epcot and have them downloaded, then I could clear my memory sticks and I'll be ready to take some more. Maybe it would be wise on my part to get in touch with them before I go, huh?

Thanks again.

Maria

Oh yes, its in Epcot :p ... I think it cost around $11.99 for the first CD and then $5.99 for each additional CD. I agree, you might want to give them a call first especially if you don't plan on bringing many memory cards. This year, I'm taking a 64 MB, 8 MB (came with my camera) and a 128 MB... I still don't think that will be enough *lol*

Is there any place in the Kissimmee area, I am not sure who would be cheaper. Is it the Walgreens, CVS or Walmart. Or some place I do not know about. I think it would be fun to print them out every day or two to check them out and keep the card with plenty of room.

That's true ... I wonder if the Wal-Mart might. I won't have a car this trip so I won't be able to travel off property much. A coworker suggested to me that some hotels have a business center and might have a CD burner. That way, you could bring your own CD and download the pictures yourself.

Thanks bunnyfoo for your help.:)

I'm taking 2-64 MB and 1-16 MB card but I doubt that will be enough. I've also got my regular camera, but I like the quality of the digital images. I think I'll have to check out the Wal-mart too. As it may be a lot cheaper that Epcot.;)

We're into the final single digit countdown now!!! lol:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Bump

I also have a sony with memory sticks, very costly to buy. also looking for some way to save picturs.

Ya know, I'm going to have to make a phone call today. I can't take it. Bunnyfoo....I will find out for sure. I don't think I could wait until October to find out.

I'll get back to you all.

TTFN,
Maria

Have a great trip Sammi! Say hi to Mickey for all of us :p

Let us know what you find out Maria! I could take 10 memory cards and still not have enough room for all the pictures I wanted to take ... *lol*

I think you may be able to get it done at the photo shop near the entrance to MGM also.

I'm taking 1-128MB, 2-32 MB and 1-16 MB cards with me (and a disposable underwater camera for TL). I took 7 rolls on our honeymoon trip, so my cards should be enough, but I'd like the extra security of having a copy on disk to bring home as well.

Thanks for checking it out!!!!! (One more thing I can take off my to-do list.)

Will do bunnyfoo!;)

Right now I'm trying to clean the whole house thoroughly for DS (22) who's staying home and is "cleaning illiterate"!!:p

OK, I got the prices for downloading digital camera memory sticks onto a CD. It's $11.99 for the first 40 pictures, and after that, all additional pictures are $5.99 to download onto a CD, just like bunnyfoo said. Good memory bunnyfoo. To PRINT them out will cost you 69 cents for each 4x6 photo. That's a little pricey considering it will cost you $27.60 to print out the first 40 pictures. I would sooner take the CD home and print them out myself.

So, I did my homework. Oh, by the way, this is at the KODAK pavillion in EPCOT, just like bunnyfoo said. I spoke with them on the phone and they were very nice. So nice, that she told me that she would be able to do it for me, bu that I had to get there before 7:00pm. I called around 6:30pm Eastern Time. hahahaha I wish I could get there in a half hour considering I live in NY.

This is great news for me cause I don't have to buy anymore membory sticks. Very cool.

That's great news Maria! I'm glad they're still offering this service ... Good to know when you should drop off your card too :p I agree, the prints are a little pricey..

Sammi, my parents are the complete opposite. They turn the house upside down packing and leave it that way. I'm the one who usually gets stuck tidying up when they leave  Oh well, it's a small price to pay for having the house to myself *lol*
